Great place for everyone, the museum is open on Sundays and the volunteers are a lovely helpful bunch, there is a toddler playground and also a bigger outdoor play area could do with TLC in my opinion there is a large duck pond if you follow the park path down hill and lots of open space for football, picnics dogs ect, if you venture further past the duck pond you'll enter Congreve's nature reserve where you'll find a stream that runs adjacent to the main path there is also a car park for Congreve's nature reserve. We visit once a week all weather.
Love Hayden hill park could spend all day there and so much to see, kids loved walking around and exploring the green space as well has the parks and they loved the ice cream van on the car park which surprisingly served vegan ice cream which was a bonus for me. Have always came here for ghost hunts as well has just for walks so would highly recommend you visit cause you’ll be wanting another trip there again
Beautiful park, stunning this time of year. Dogs love it too,the owners are friendly, good to chat and greet people as you pass by. Met a lovely couple yesterday who gave me a hand made crochet Poppy,I will make a donation to The Poppy Appeal.
Lovely Park, Scenic Views. Amazing story of Mr Haden and his Manor House. Wondered whether he had any descendants who could have claimed the house? Alas! we run our lives to build Materalistic things for only to be left behind.
Some of my daughters ashes are up there and also spent many lo Ely morning walking jasmine the rottweiler befor she passed bless her also inside the house is beautiful and the play areas are for all ages my daughter has enjoyed playing over there since she could hold her self up
This is a beautiful park to walk around. When the flowers are in bloom the colours are rather striking. There are some areas for ease with a wheelchair but parts are rather hilly. When the house is open it is rather nice to look around. It is an old Victorian era house which has been decorated in the traditional style from the era. There is outdoor seating and a play area for children and also a bowls green. The toilets on the outside from what I know haven't reopened since the COVID lockdown. On most days there is also an ice cream van that parks on the car park which offers hot drinks which is welcome on the colder days walk
Besutiful always but especially lovely in the winter sunshine. Beautiful scenery and great walks. Lovely early signs of spring today in a later visit than the winter views. There was an interesting outdoor art exhibition too. New since my previous visit: on going work on one of the bowling greens. It looks as though it's going to become a formal garden.
Great park different areas.. Lot of dog walkers.. Few hilly areas depending on your mobility!! Loved it... New picnic seating areas....very smart
Although this is in residential setting the nature walk was very nice, great for walks, park for children, free car park and bike rides. Will definitely be visiting again when museum is open.
Nice park with nice views, and areas for the children to play. It is quite steep in parts if you are planning to walk around it, and if your planning on wandering into Corngreaves nature reserve bring wellingtons ;- No toilets any more. Playground: Two nice play areas one for younger children and another for elder children Restrooms: None, council keep them shut. Dog-friendliness: Full of dog walkers all very friendly. Picnic area: Several picnic tables as well as a large area at the top of the park and a large field ideal for picnics in the sum
