Magnificent view. If you really like open and green field, you should visit this place. Today weather is really good. Breathtaking scenery for me.
Blowing the cobwebs off this new year 2022 was great at the Hackpen white horse. Limited parking along the Wansdyke path which runs above it - cross the road from the carpark and wander along a bit, heading towards Avebury to see the views, big birds of prey, if you are lucky, wild Pony's and also the long haired shaggy cattle
Free parking on top of the hill, walked along the Ridgeway to the hedgehog Beech clump didn't get to walk to the white horse due to a couple of horses in the field that were a little too excitable.
Fun little stop. Amazing vista from up there as well, and a cute little horse family that are very friendly.
Convenient and free car park and incredible views from this landmark!
Lovely spot to visit especially on a clear sunny day. There is a carpark although on stoney ground. Mostly used by dog walkers or those wanting to walk the Ridgeway. The field where the White Horse is located is a nice place for a picnic with magnificent views..
We had a little walk down to the white horse ,then a short stroll along the ridge way.On a lovely summer's evening you could see for miles.
A lovely walk, if approaching from the lower end, be careful as there is barbed wire on the sty and you may catch yourself on it. You can climb the gate next to it I suppose.
My go-to for sunset walks. First photo is the view from the car park.
Great views! You can get up close to this white horse. But when you are right next to it, is it only me that thinks that this horse has the face of a giraffe?
