Story

Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick (Birmingham) (UK) Europe’s first and first biggest Gurdwara (Sikh Temple). This Gurdwara is the first Gurdwara, in the history of UK and Europe, to be purchased and used purely for the purpose of worship by the Sikh Community in the United Kingdom.
Guru Nanak Gurdwara is a non-profit organisation, located in the in the West Midlands, UK. It was established in 1961 and is one of the most prominent and influential Sikh Gurdwaras in the world. The Gurdwara sahib is open 7 days a week and holds daily programs for local Sikhs and visitors to pray and seek blessings. It has more than 10000 weekly congregation.

Provision of building and facilities for the places of worship and educational institutions predominantly for the Sikh Community.Further the religious and other charitable work of Sikh religion and Sikh community.
To advance knowledge and awareness of the Sikh faith by the teachings from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

A great place for serene contemplation of the Lord
Nice and peaceful Sikh religious place Gurudwara Where all communities are welcome and can have free delicious food 7 days a week .
Gurdwara has safety measures in place.Everyone visiting Gurudwara wears face covering and obide by the government guidelines making it a very safe place to visit.

I used to walk to this Gurdwara with family back in the 1960's. We celebrated 500th anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji in 1969 and last weekend celebrated 550th anniversary by the same walk by the Galton canal. #memories
