My wife has always dropped by this very interesting Swedish clothing shop and here we were in London and her focus on natural materials..the warmth that this store brings to its customers can be easily witnessed..I sat in a chair and watched several women discuss fabric and design and provide positive insights as a piece of clothing is chosen to wear..
Very underwhelmed I was looking forward to the visit - felt very flat atmosphere in the shop - I have bought in the past a vast amount of clothing on their website - so was excited to have a brouse - poor lightning -no one really interested in engaging with us . I hear the Green Street shop in America is a great shop to visit - alas to far for me !
Like going in to the store as you just can’t judge the feel of fabric and fit from the catalog. Besides, there’s an extra £10 to pay on returns apparently for online shoppers. Prices getting a bit high for me and despite a big spend in store, they refused to give me a bag unless I paid £1 for a printed one!! They have no alternative bags, so if you have a big pile of clothes, best bring your own!! I think they should continue to supply the fabric ones for over £50 purchases or offer a paper or recycled plastic one
Fantastic, funky, colourful & quirky! Loved it! And the staff were friendly. Good ethical values. Cloth, reusable bags & good quality used items of clothing can be returned & are resold as preloved. Fab! Will go again, definitely
I visited my favourite store after nearly 2 years. As usual the store was meticulously maintained and tastefully decorated, clean and tidy. Fresh flowers adorned all corners and the range was as usual, vibrant, colourful and uplifting. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and always willing to recommend, cardigans and accessories that might help create your own style. Their home section was also well stocked and colourful. If you are into sustainable fashion, artistic and love colours, this is a store to visit. Can't recommend enough.
Love the colours of the outfits. I have ordered online a few times. But they still got my address wrong. It was a gift so I was disappointed. Good customer service would have offered a voucher. Would love to visit the store sometime as it is hard to select material thickness from website
Lovely, lovely clothes, fantastic value second hand rail, love my cotton tote bag I was given to carry all my goodies. Do not go here if you like boring clothes. Friendly Stan the dog was a highlight.
The clothes always look so fabulous in the catalogue but the quality never matches up in reality. I paid £69 for a skirt which is extremely thin and see through, have had better quality in primark. Such a shame as I just love the designs, if the prices were cheaper it would be acceptable or improve quality to justify the high prices!
They try to deduct £10 from your refund when you return an item online..... then when I objected they said I could send it back via Royal Mail. They still maintain they don't have to refund the original postage, which as far as I'm aware is against the Consumer Contracts Regulations. They did refund as 'goodwill' but I won't be buying again. They also continued to send me newsletters after I had unsubscribed. Probably need to understand the law a little better. Lovely clothes, if a little shapeless.
I have adored & worn Gudrun Sjoden for years - the clothes that I have purchased have always brightened my life no end. I love the company's ethical stance which makes my buying experience even more even more satisfying. Never had a bad customer service experience. My only gripe is the returns policy. Why I am I charged £10 for returning an item? No other company that I am aware of does this.
