Definitely going back here. Good range on products and massive range on fish to tropical to exotic animals. Good prices as well. Well worth a visit.
Really lovely place just a shame that in an hour no staff even acknowledged us
Very poor variety of everything. Had about 3 tanks on display, corals were almost non existent and overall a very empty space. The photos on here displaying the vast amount of tanks and tropical fish aren’t on display here. A wasted journey for sure. Disappointing.
I can only really comment on the marine side - as I tend not to look at the tropical, of which there was plenty, and looked fine. The marine tanks were very few in number and sparsely populated. The coral tray was almost empty - just a couple of meagre soft corals. Marine fish and coral selection was very poor, which is a shame, as this is such a big shop - but totally wasted at present.
Starting with the positive, very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Please do your own research before purchasing a reptile here though as chances are you will be sold the incorrect equipment. Sadly our dragon we bought here was riddled with coccidia which has lead to repeat trips to the vet and treatments costing us hundreds. Please please review your hygeine practices for the sake of the animals. Again, can't really fault the staff, perhaps a lack of knowledge but given with how many animals they are made to work with not a surprise.
Great service from a young lad with long black hair, didn't get his name. Very informative and helped us massively when looking for fish for our daughter first aquarium. Cheers bud.
If I could rate this place minus stars I would. Staff too busy chatting with eachother to bother to acknowledge us. After 20mins one young boy did say hi. The tanks are filthy. Lots of dead fish in tanks and lots of waste. A few Dead fighter fish in lots of the pint size tanks on a rack that ironically says a betta life for fighters. we left this place feeling extremely sad. We didn't buy anything as the conditions were horrid so much waste on the bottom of the marine tanks. It actually made me tearful to see how bad it was especially as they have more than adequate facilities there it would seem it is down to pure laziness that has left these poor fish in such a distressing state.
If anyone wants marine, tropical or cold water fish see Toby or Elliott. There's not a lot they don't know. Great selection and very friendly. Highly recommended.
Very impressed with advice and information given when I had a problem with a fish. Did not try to sell me products which were not needed.
Typical Garden Centre with added Koy, Tropical and Marine Fish. Everything for the gardener, at a price and everything for fish enthusiasts. Small cafe/resturant to rest your feet in the back.
