Tupied over from MITIE LANDSCAPES who had to suddenly enhanced vet their staff a month before end of contract - my escort walked off getting me into trouble and was not allowed back until clearance sorted - at home for 4 weeks At site for 4 months with basic DBS clearance already escorted - tupied over could not start paid for 2 weeks - no clearance again - off on stress/anxiety then fired as could not pass clearance - new staff don't need this clearance looking at the new zero hours advert for the site so why can I not work escorted on this site or get another job on another site instead ?nNot a good way to operate and I am not sure this is a disciplinary matter either - down to the site ! - There is a problem somewhere but not of my doing
My experience at ground control wasn't too pleasant.nI was a witness to a racist incident.nThe Asian lad was being racially bullied and racially abused I was surprised when I found out ground control found it easier to sack the Asian lad instead of the racist bullies. Charge hands/ supervisors/management/HR personnel/and all directors involved should hold there heads in shame very unprofessional from all involved.
Having been responsible for a Ground Control contract, I find their business model to centre solely around cost, going in cheap to secure the contract and then trying to find ways deliver the contract for as little as possible, ignoring service & quality.nnThey use so called Field Teams to deliver their works. Which are in reality sub-contractors. These fields teams are hammered down on their costs, so much so I am surprised they turn up, never mind manage to operate as a business.nnGround Controls Management Team, those above those on the ground, don't really care, their sole focus is cost, this impacts their whole operation and sets the tone for the business.nnOverall, I would say to anyone considering giving them a contract to think hard, and if it’s about lower costs, poor service, with no accountably then go for them. If you believe in service, quality, accountability then I would look elsewhere
Just lost a contract 4 years of blood sweat and tears to get it looking amazing took away by this money making greed machine!
