Fab little shop, good quality food and very friendly staff. Prices for snacks and cakes was excellent. No RIP off prices, will definitely pop in again. Oh and happily accepted a Scottish £20, "absolutely no problem" I was told as I searched for smaller notes. My wife poped in later in the day and had the same friendliness extended to her.
Walked from goathland. Bought some items in the shop and paid by card. We then decided we wanted to buy a bag to carry them back on the walk but only had card payment. Was rudely spoken to by the female member of staff saying "are you joking come on you can't buy a bag with card!". Not even a polite response about minimum payments or anything. Disgusting service.....

Wow, the oldest independent Co op in the uk! Very traditional layout. Full of bits and bobs of all you could need. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
An incredibly rude woman working in the shop. Don’t try to buy your shopping with a £20 note as this leads to the woman snatching the money from your hand, rolling her eyes and huffing. When I pointed out her rude behaviour she just shrugged and said “I’ve had a long day” I asked for my money back and said I would buy my shopping elsewhere but she refused and slammed my change on the counter.
Great selection of essentials and snacks. Perfect for tourists to fill your case with local sweets to bring home! Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices.

What a Coop should be. Nice local shop with a wide range on offer including local produce. One of the few remaining independent cooperative shops. Friendly, helpful staff.
