We absolutely love it here. We bought a museum pass so we can come regularly, and we still never get everything done! My personal highlights:n- Tractor rides and the farm for the little ones.n- The beautiful river walk and stamp trail.n- The nature pond is absolutely teeming with newts!n- The quiche and salad from the café is worth the trip in itself! Best quiche ever.n-The play area is fabulous.nnThe museum itself is so interesting and really interactive. The pictures on the walls move, it's like being at Hogwarts haha! There are dressing up bits, games, puzzles etc too keep the little ones entertained whilst you read and look at the fascinating exhibits. Don't forget to also explore the old school, the chapel, the blacksmiths, the old shop, the old car.nThere are loads of toilets all over the site, never too far away which is fab with little ones.nAll the staff are always so friendly, in the café and down on the farm.
Great day out, you really need to allow at least half a day to see everything.nLoved the village street old store, post office pub and cottage. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the workhouse had engaging exhibits.nThe farm and tractor ride were informative and great for youngsters and the young at heart!nWe had a fabulous ploughman's lunch in the cafe. The staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable, we really enjoyed our day and highly recommend this place.
Amazing place for the whole family, the little ones love the tractor ride, playground with a zip line!; it's a nice educational place and fun in one.
We didn't quite know what to expect from a workhouse visit sounds a bit grim ,but were pleasantly surprised it kept us occupied for 4_5 hours.Our 4yo Granddaughter loved the playarea very well equipped, plenty of things to do on site with the farm area as well.Great cafe and not the usual overpriced meals you get at other attractions. Also plenty of picnic tables.nWalking the river woods etc to get the stamps collected and a tractor ride thrown in.
Came on a school trip with my little boy who's in Reception year. What a fabulous day! The interaction with the children was outstanding from start to finish and the people playing the characters for the day where incredible. We will most definitely visit as a family in the near future to look around the whole venue. I missed this trip with my first child so pleased I got to go with my 2nd child. Thankyou so much
