A proper football experience , with friendly folk and this season a oor team . Not that it matters. £10 will gain you entry into this slightly quirky old ground. The pitch isn't flat, there is a wall at one end and the ball if not in gresleys net will spend as much time out of the ground. But this is as truer original football experience you can get. Modern stadium, perfect pitch and overpaid primadonas you won't find here, and that makes it wonderful.
Very enjoyable visit with Hanley Town. Showing signs of wear and tear, but its a great little non-league ground. Much better than these 4G grounds with one stand that you see.
Negatives:Its a bit ramshackle and the pitch is awful. One end is a brick wall. Car parking steward was bloody useless. Positives: Friendly staffother than the steward and all credit to a club that is running on limited means. Good luck
Nice friendly people, stadium a bit tight, with no access behind one goal, due to houses being there. Massive slope on a third of the pitch, nice feature of a bar in the ground but on the outside of the pitch. The food was very reasonable priced. Nice clubhouse. Changing rooms, home team have a TV, away team, was very tight and cramped. Nice having a platform for the match ball to sit on, for the referee to take it off at the start of the game. Ground may be gone soon, when they relocate, so worth visiting for a bit of history, before it becomes a housing estate.
Watched a game against Spalding United. At the time Spalding were top of the table and Gresley near the bottom. Game ended 2-2. Very entertaining and a good fightback by Gresley. The ground itself is perfectly fine for a tier 8 Club, a mix of standing and sitting. Floodlights were on which I think gives an added element. A tenner to get in and £2 for a programme. I find non-league football far better value than premiership and the championship. Get there early to park at the ground. There are adjoining streets close to the ground. However, these are narrow. Definitely worth a visit for a decent game of football.
Just put prices up despite constantly saying they have the lowest playing budget in the league £8 for 17 year olds and poor players to watch absolute joke if they expect people to pay that
Great club. Good vibe and a nice clubhouse with some great features
Great club. Friendly people. Little old, but they are moving forward with plans for new site. Always a great atmosphere
So bad I would rather watch my year 6 vs year 5 match 59 times then watch Geresley once
Well worth a visit friendly good food and good football give it a go
