I was served by the trainee today, Matt. I believe his training is complete, he's a class act. Polite, well-spoken, helpful, double checks your order, and wishes you well for the rest of the day.nI'd highly recommend the Mexican chicken sandwich. It was very flavourful, I'd have normally gone for the tandoori chicken. However, this was out of stock, and I'm now glad it was.nThe card machines were very slow today, and the majority of card payments were declining. This isn't ideal for those who don't carry cash.
Nice staff as usual and the food is prepared nicely and honestly couldn't fault it. Atmosphere is as you'd expect. I usually go to McDonald's for breakfast when I'm working early or on a long journey but I decided to go to Greggs and honestly there's nothing better than a nice bacon sandwich or a steak bake with a hot drink to warm you up at the start of the day and it will be my new go to for such times. Food is cooked nicely and thank goodness they don't have overcooked and dry chicken in the hot section. Good value for when you're on the go. Be sure to get there in good time for what you are looking for because it can sell out very quickly, especially during the busy lunch hours and it almost looks like the whole store has been cleared.
I was served by a girl named Charlie today, I bought a bacon roll and a latte. She was quick to serve me and was polite and served me with a smile. The shop is always quite busy but staff keep it clean. I would recommend.
I visit with the children, they love everything. I only have a coffee or cold drink so can't comment myself.
Great to have a Gregg's so close by. In a good location for commuters passing by and for students at New College.nnOne downside is the small car park that is shared with a Co-op. Also, this is designed to be a grab and go place, rather than to sit in, as it only has a few seats.
