Gregg's is a great snack place. But unless yr lucky enough to get a fresh tray from the oven its generally cold and prices are probably getting a little to high.
Went to greggs only to hear one of the workers flip out on a customer. Customer looked about 14 and asked a simple questions where a simple yes or no could have been enough but instead she flipped out at him and was incredibly rude. Wouldn’t want my kids to be served by such a horrible and rude worker. Name is Eliza maybe higher up should teach workers to be less of a cow especially to kids.
Stopped in for a cup of tea. Got tea and a bacon roll. Rolls were very good not to doughy, and there was a decent amount of bacon. Very nice
Great selection at the hot counter chicken bites etc and the main pastry counter has always been stocked up when I've visited. Pastries perfectly cooked. Not underdone or overdone. Other Greggs need to be more like this one! Edit: pastries now undercooked or maybe rolled too hard before baking so don't rise.
Always empty when I go in the afternoon. Clearly they don't make enough food . Staff seem eager to go home ,although I don't blame them .
We just got a cup of mocha and some cakes to take home! The Mocha was lovely as were the cakes when we ate them!! Staff were friendly but busy! There were seats in the store if you wanted to sit and drink or eat!! We had our coffee in there and the staff were quick to clean down the tables when people left!!
We love going to Greggs. We have a latte, sometimes a Belgian bun. We also get a steak bake, they are really delicious. We usually have one we start travelling to our holiday destination.
Breakfast offer showed "Bakery item and regular hot drink" for £2.40 before 11:00. I ordered sausage bean melt and regular black coffee and was charged £2.85. When I challenged them, they said it was only croissant the picture on the offer I said, "but it says bakery item", they changed their story to it being pastries only. I showed them the similar offer on the video display which included bacon rolls, they still refused to change their position. I don't care about the 45p. I do care about misleading offers / advertising and staff who are not trained or empowered to offer basic customer service. And the food was cold. I used to get food from here regularly, but won't be returning anytime soon.
Good fresh food every day. Price are reasonable.
I used to work at this Greggs about 15 years ago, and the food was always decent. If someone wanted a warm pasty we would put in a fresh one provided they were willing to wait or let them know when the next batch will be ready. Now, unfortunately this same level of customer service is non-existent. I've been in 2-3 times over the last few months I don't go often and each time I got an ice cold pasty. Each time I asked if the pasties were at least warm but the server would say they were unsure. And when I say cold I mean my chicken was borderline dangerous as I'm sure it's not meant to sit at room temperature for long enough to get this cold. Anyway, it's gone massively downhill.
