A beautiful cemetery with amazing architecture. The magical atmosphere of this place makes you visit again at different times of the year.
I’d never been until today but what a beautiful place! Much bigger than it looks, so actually big enough for a whole proper dog walk which is great lovely scenery, gorgeous trees
I am amazed by the amount of dog walkers who do not have dogs on leads. It is upsetting and disrespectful that people have such little thought for the families who still visit graves of their loved ones. It is a cemetery not a park and those using it should adhere to the request of having dogs on leads.
Very upset this morning, went with my mum of over 70 and to see the state the cemetery is in broke her heart. Her Nan and grandad plus her mum is buried here, and could not even get to the grave due to the lack of care. All over grown .
Very peaceful for both the living and departed. Beautiful with all the trees and paths. Great place to go for a walk, to clear your head or just get some fresh air. Lots of birds and squirrels, dog walkers and joggers. Very big and spacious. Just generally a nice place even though its a cemetery.
I visited my brother's grave in June. I was so sad that the cemetery has become so overgrown. His grave was covered in mares tails about two feet high. It was hard to see where graves started and finished. It took my husband and me well over an hour to clear it enough to be able to see his headstone. I am not getting any younger and live nearly 100 miles away so can't visit very often. I don't know how much of the lack of maintenance is due to covid, but hope that this isn't going to be a permanent state of affairs. Glad to see that the Commonwealth war graves have been maintained
Peaceful and very tranquil. I find it very interesting to read some of the epitaphs on the graves. I hope they can preserve the chapel and not let it get too derelict.
Scenic cemetery in the heart of upper Easton. Great place to take a quiet walk and check tombstones. There is a creepy buildinging in the middle, not sure what it is as it is barricaded at the moment. Also, you can find a hidden pathway to the top of the old railway bridge! Worth a visit.
Visited Greenbank cemetery on Father's Day. It was in a disgusting state we could not even see the grave, the grass was about 2ft high. And covered a huge area of the grounds the only area that was clear was where the war personnel are buried. I understand that the council is responsible for the upkeep of the cemetery please can this disgusting state be put right.
We went to the cemetery today June 4th, 2014 with an elderly Aunt who wanted to put flowers on her Mother's grave my Grandmother probably making it her last visit. What a shock to find the cemetery in such a disgusting state. It was like a wilderness. We knew roughly where the grave was but could not find it because everything was totally overgrown. So upsetting. The grave dates back to 1970, and is no longer visible, Terrible state. Is anyone supposed to keep the cemetery in basic order? We took shears etc with us to tidy around the grave but could not even walk to it because of the long grass and shrubs. We are most distressed. Also we could hardly get in the gate because of builders vans and workmen who are working on houses across the road. Most disrespectful.
