Would like to say thank you to a staff named Chris in Manchester Airport Centre. I rented a manual car and realized I could not handle it even I have been driving for 10 years eventually he suggested me another hybrid automatic vehicle. I could enjoy the trip so much because he is helpful to suggest the change of vehicle. Very very thankful to meet Chris. Remarked: There was a very small part wounded on the wheel. I could be charged and another staff gently told me it’s fine but it takes one week to verify the results although I thought it was not my fault but my responsibility to check the car before leaving. I was just too hurry in driving. Remind of everybody: must check your car carefully when you take it. It is protecting from potential unfairness. It’s your own responsibility.
Rented a car from Manchester Airport for 2 days. The staff were top class. Ruth’s was very friendly and made us feel welcome. He dealt with us promptly and made the process quick and easy. The car itself was in great condition very clean and everything working. On return the staff were again quick and efficient which allowed us to catch the next free shuttle bus to the airport. I would be more than happy to use again and I recommend highly.
Best experience ever with a car rental company. We arrived after a cancelled flight a day late with a very important deadline to meet. Laura, the manager handled us personally with great care, speed and customer service. She had us on the road in minutes. Great car also. Ritz helped me out w my rental car. He was very helpful and has excellent customer skills. He did fill out the damage sheet before we walked out to the vehicle. I inspected the car and found 4 scratches, which I brought to Ritz’s attention. He told me to take pictures of them, which I have added to this survey.
I rent cars around the world about twice a month. I have not written a review before but feel compelled to do so after my experience with Green Motion Manchester airport. Ritz greeted me by name, sorted me out with respect and no fuss. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When I returned 12 days later he again greeted me by name and looked for any way he could make the check in and transfer process as smooth as possible. Peter worked quickly and diligently so that I just could the transfer bus runs every 20 minutes. Well done gentleman. Derek
On June 14, 2024, I rented a white Kia SUV from Green Motion at the Manchester Airport. Shortly after I returned the car on June 16, I was informed that I am assessed a £513 charge for damages. The damage appears to be on the passenger side front bumper at the very bottom. I was the only person to drive the car and I did not make any contact with any object or other vehicle while the car was in my possession. Additionally, whenever I parked the car, I backed into the parking space. Never did I pull the car into a parking location moving forward. I absolutely did not cause any damage to this vehicle. Often times this type of body damage is considered superficial, affecting the paint only. It is quite possible this damage was not reported previously because it is cosmetic and sometimes considered as regular wear and tear on a vehicle. According to previous customer reviews, it is obvious that there are inconsistencies with the inspection policy and standards pertaining to the condition of vehicles returned after rental. Buyer beware! Whenever you rent from Green Motion, document every centimeter of the car that is not in perfect showroom condition or you may be paying for someone else”s damage, even the most trivial. We were dealing with umair in green motion Manchester.. Umair could not have been any nicer to me and my 6 year old soon.. he went above and beyond to accommodate us and was unbelievable nice and professional. it was our first time renting a car so we were missing one or two things but Umair helped us through it all and saved our holiday as we needed a car.. top man and great service and a unbelievable car . thank you

Excellent service. Starting from the transfer from the airport to the Green Motion rental park, a very helpful and kind staff member explained the shuttle bus collection times, checkout and check-in procedures, and other important information very clearly. Then, at the Green Motion office, I met Ritz, who guided me through the options, helped me with the checkout process I thought I had already completed. Ritz made me feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning. He processed all the paperwork professionally and efficiently, provided me with a nice car, and gave me all the necessary instructions. Amazing service! I'll definitely use Green Motion again in the future, booking directly with them to avoid middle agencies or brokers. Thank you, Ritz, and thank you, Green Motion!
Be careful if you have primary insurance through your credit card! Even though I declined insurance at the desk, insurance was pushed as is often expected. The representative recognized I had such insurance but said I had to pay a surcharge for third-party liability of 10-15 pounds a day. I explicitly asked if this was mandatory, and he said "yes". I suspect now that this was a complete lie. Once I received the printed papers and had a look later in the day, I noted that the charge for the above stated "CDW". This is extremely problematic, as the provision of my credit card states: "Review the auto rental agreement and decline the rental company's collision damage waiver CDW/LDW option, or a similar provision, as accepting this coverage will cancel out Your benefit." In other words, I was or may have been without coverage because of this misrepresentation. Another shady thing they do is have you sign the inspection report in the office before reviewing the vehicle. As I noted we hadn't looked at the vehicle, the representative said you can merely take time-stamped photos when you go get it. While I didn't have any problems upon return, it may be an uphill battle to fight if they newly find pre-existing damage. The staff overall was generally quite nice/amiable, as well as helpful upon request—we received a brand new child car seat when we had an issue. The car was a similar model to what we booked, was clean, and drove well. Finally, while the instructions for the shuttle bus were fairly clear, it does not run that frequently. We waited approximately 45 minutes for it to come. In that time, we saw the shuttle for the main car park pass by literally THREE times. This was somewhat 'explained' when I dropped off the car: the bus was in the parking lot for at least 5-10 minutes while I returned the car it was there when I arrived, and then I had to wait another 15 minutes for it to leave. Overall, while it wasn't the worst car rental experience I've had—which isn't saying much—it was far from the best.
