Christmas Lunch at The Green Man - We had a really great, festive meal, which was a great alternative to cooking at home. I've never done lunch out on Christmas Day before, but this was good fun. Thanks to all the staff who couldn't do enough for us.
Typical Mitchell and Butlers clap trap. Pathetic range of vegan friendly options, overpriced food, and a chip count so paltry you could count it one hand. Don’t even bother visiting this dump.
Not a bad pub and venue. The food was better when we had a smaller group of us seemed to struggle with over 10 of us. Food was ok but wasn’t blown away considering the bill price. Sadly looked better than it tasted
Went for lunch. I had the beef brisket sandwich, which was delicious. Came with a lovely dipping sauce/,gravy and good chips. My friend had pizza, which was also very good. Fabulous service by Sheila. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Good food and drinks menu overall. Would definitely recommend.
The staff are amazing, we booked very last minute . The had clearly had a busy day so the menu ended up having a few things no longer available. They sat us down and let us know so we could decide if we still wanted to have a meal, which we did we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Our little girl enjoyed her food too and all the lovely smiles and waves she was getting from everyone too .
I have been coming to this pub for 40 years as I only live down the rd and have never had to complain. The Sunday roast was tasteless, and the food was not what I was expecting. The chefs need more training. I asked to see a manager but was told they were upstairs in their flat. So my photo will explain the carrot issue. All they did was cut a carrot down the middle, heat it up, and serve it. It was still hard in the middle. Serve a carrot like that to a Horse, not a human being
Visited for a Birthday Meal. Food and service was brilliant. Just one complaint and that was about the Prawn Cocktail - ridiculous amount of lettuce and barely any prawns. Not great considering the price. We did mention this to our Waitress and it was taken off our Bill so great customer service. I wish they would change the Menu though as Vintage Inns have had the same Menu for so long now. Apart from that would recommend.
Another great experience. The team are excellent and all work well together. We are always impressed with the restaurant and in particular Shiela who is superb. Always attentive, keeps you informed and makes you feel genuinely welcome. Sheila is what a good job looks like. Jeep up the great work. Food and service great.
Had a lovely lunch today at The Green Man. Easy to park, lovely welcome, great staff and a very varied menu. The service was great, just right timing. I ordered the mushrooms to start and it was lovely and not too filling. The bread was lovely. The hunters chicken was lovely, so much though I couldn't finish it. The others had the scallops and prawns and calamari. The portions were just right. Then the steak which was really tender and the curry was lovely. It wasn't pricy either. I would highly recommend The Green Man Longfield.
We were able to get a table without booking on a Saturday night. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were served primarily by Charlotte who was delightful - she had a great personality, lovely smile and made us feel at home.
