Came here 2 days in a row with a friend and it was one of the best experiences while being here in the UK. The food was great we had the swordfish thanks Mike! and the atmosphere was just very welcoming. we made friends with some locals almost immediately and Mike and his family were just great and very accepting. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
Lovely old pub, packed with history and charm. The giant fireplace wasn't alight when we visited on a warm April afternoon, but it looks amazing. All around the walls are old photos, maps, greenmen and pictures of remembered regulars. The beer was good, the pub and toilets spotlessly clean. The big garden looks perfect for a summers day, so well head back with the kids one weekend. Nearby activities: Lovely walks along the Dengy Peninsula coast, in both directions. The decommissioned power station is interesting. The RAF WW2 memorial is very poignant. The Chappel is a key part of British religious history.
Go here when staying over in bradwell. Good food and service. Would give it 5 stars but as with all pubs menu is a bit limitedService: 4/5
We had lunch here. The chilli con carne was lukewarm and the scampi was ok but was cooked from frozen so came out a bit watery. The staff are niceService: 4/5
Stopped off for a lunch mid boat trip with my 2 kids, ages 19 & 14. We enjoyed 2 lovely courses each, we were all happy with our food. Very nice staff, had a good chat about the area & local activities whilst collecting more drinks, very friendly & welcoming atmosphere :
Lovely atmosphere, superb food. Will be back Thank you
Had a nice day at Bradwell on sea and decided to go for lunch here .. What a mistake that was .. I can honestly say it was the worst burger I have ever eaten !! 2 bits of meat , some sort of cheese couldn’t tell what it was as hardly any on it in a dried bun ! NO PICKLES, NO LETTUCE, NO TOMATO..!!! And served with oven chips .. If you are the chief here you should be embarrassed you serve up rubbish like this .. My partners roast was dry chicken , burnt roast potatoes.. Even my dog refused to eat it … oh well seems like another microwave pub
Lovely pub, landlord and landlady very welcoming. Service was superb and food excellent, we had a roast today with a selection of 6 veggies. Don't often see that. Very dog friendly if you have a woof, and well worth a visit. We'll definitely go back. You can do a lovely walk in a circle along the sea wall just down the road from the pub. If you get the tide right low there's a cracking beach opposite the power station.
Beautifully cooked fresh food, good selection of beers, very welcoming and friendly service. Excellent location by the river Blackwater with nearby Riverside walks and a busy marina.
Amazing service. Great Sunday roast and fantastic service. Honestly we'd barely sat down and the food was with us! Incredibly good. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Cracking gin selection. Spacious garden with a marquee for when the weather is bad. Thanks for a warm reception.
