Worst dentist I’ve ever been to. Started off bad when the receptionist made a mistake making a follow up appointment and booked in for a day I didn’t agree to. I was charged over the standard rate for band 2 nhs patients and a fortune for medication. Then to top it off, both my fillings fell out! Had to go elsewhere. Incompetent staff and they over charge. Very hard to get a smile out of anybody that works there. My advice is go somewhere else.

My worst experience at a dentist from start to finish. I can't speak for the whole practise, only for my dentist, Sasitha Balathasan, who was just awful. I went in last year needing a root canal. She gave me all the pricing if I went private. The moment I said I would go NHS her attitude changed and she made it very clear that on the NHS there was no guarantee of a good job. I asked if it was a different dentist if I went private and she said no. I shouldn't have gone back. The moment someone makes it clear that they won't be doing their best unless paid privately, you know it's going to be bad , but I was desperate and in a lot of pain. I had an infection, which she confirmed on my first visit..she then booked me in for the root canal, didn't prescribe me antibiotics for the infection, and gave me an agonising half hour where I could feel everything, finally giving up because there was too much blood because of the infection..which she told me off for not having taken antibiotics. Which SHE didn't prescribe. All in all a shambles, more pain than nesserary, more appointments than nessssary. And incredibly unprofessional. By the end of it, she left me a badly done root canal, with a filling that cracked off (taking a piece of tooth with it) within the month, and another filling in the side of an upper tooth, that rides into my gum, and constantly irritates it and makes it bleed. The fact that you can go to the same dentist privately or on the NHS leaves us humiliated as patients by dentists that treat you like dirt unless you fork out. I realise not all dentists behave like this, but this whole experience was truly traumatic. It has taken me a long time to get myself another dentist and willingly go and fix the absolute massacre this woman did to my mouth. Truly a nightmare experience with long lasting painful repercussions. Avoid at all costs.
