Please please please ask nurse Catherine to be a permanent resident rather than a locum!!! She is the best nurse I have ever had an appointment with, was so lovely and caring as I was extremely nervous and anxious initially. She put my mind at ease and made the process an absolute breeze. She could not do enough to help and is an absolute credit to the industry she works in, even going as far to ensure the vaccination that she recommended is now offered at the surgery, which wasn’t an option before. The only thing I would say is that perhaps the reception staff could be a little more understanding with elderly patients - they grew up in a world where you could simply book an appointment in person, they aren’t used to having to do everything online/by phone and it made me a little sad to witness the frustration that was taken out on them because of this not all reception staff but one in particular. I understand the job is high pressure and stressful, but kindness is key. Thank you again to Catherine you’re a star!!
try to phone them and you get a message that lasts forever only to be told that the queue is full and it cuts you off!!! who thought this was a better idea than the old system where you just got the engaged signal ?? its past 9.30 and i finally was placed in a queue..... i was number 9 in the queue to be answered, i gave up!!! the message tells you to go online to book an appointment..... took me hours to set it up but when i tried to book an appointment the next day, by 8.40 the triage list was closed. it is now almost impossible to get an appointment to see the doctor unless you are very lucky. the system needs to be changed as it is now dreadful and the person who set it up should be sacked! on a positive note, when you get to see the doctors they are a really good team but access to them is nearly impossible.
I have tried several times to get an appointment with greenelms surgery on this mygp app it's impossible I need to see a doctor urgently I have tried different times only for it to say no appointments left. This was 8am. Why do they have to make things so hard
Delayed my sons 8 weeks jabs until 12 weeks, the reason they gave is that they don’t have enough nurses. Then delayed his 12 week jabs up until 19 weeks because one staff member was off ill. Also did not give me a postnatal check even after a bad tear and concerns of infection. Poor staff management and so much disregard for patients.
I would just like to say thank you so much to Danielle assistant practitioner who has shown me that there are people that still care about others wellbeing and has helped me with my foot infection, with a understanding of my concerns and professionalism of her work, a big thank you for all you have done.
