Great venue, really good atmosphere, the band was excellent, the security were very hands off, the drinks were reasonably priced and it didn't take too long to get served, in spite of being heavingly busy. Oh, and they had my favourite imported beer, Goose (Island) IPA. The toilets weren't labelled with genders but I found myself in one with cubicles and women in, which was clean and stocked with the essentials, so all good. Oh and did I say the band was great too?

"I like to dance with my own people". A lot of striped trousers. A lot of white t-shirts and sunglasses indoors at 1am. Loved the Baywatch styled security guard overlooking the dance floor like waiting for the right moment in life to show his best moves to all of us. We don't deserve you. There is actually a green door.

Bit tucked away under the station and the entrance isn't the most visible. Fair selection of drinks on offer at about average price. Good vibe here and the decor really reflects that. Lots of little things that make this place good. For example there is a portrait of a man above the entrance to the stage hall, ask the staff who he is, still not sure if I believe the story myself! The stage room is fairly small so you get the most intimate experience, but make sure you get in early or your not going to see the bands play. Yonaka were fantastic last night and were in and about the crowd talking to everyone. Good night all round.

Nice grotty gig venue, exactly what you expect and what it should be. One nice little feature of this place is that it always smells like incense when you come through the door. Some of the best toilet graffiti in Brighton is found here. Cash only bar. Gig area is quite small.

The floor in the venue is a nightmare. Very uneven and full of bits to trip on. Very uncomfortable to stand on. I've been going to this venue since it opened and although they finally made the room sound better it seems the aesthetic of a wonky floor is still prolioritised over comfort and safety.
