A community benefit society for reducing carbon emissions by making firewood, woodchip biomass, and hardwood timber for joinery from timber produced by our own and others' arboriculture and woodland management activities. Making wood work!

Mission

A better, fairer world is possible – a world in which everyone’s needs are met in a way which is environmentally sustainable, economically responsible and socially inclusive.
Wood is an amazing material and is a genuinely renewable resource. A local, wood-based economy can – and must – play a vital role in the transition to this world we want to live in.

When TreeStation came to appraise the job, the operative was very clear, not at all condescending, as he explained to us just what diseases our half-dead big tree had, an what its prospects and our options were. We described what we wanted doing by way of tree felling and also clearing away brambles and assorted bushes that had sprung up alongside the neighbouring fence (while sparing the gooseberry bushes). And TreeStation did exactly that, promptly, efficiently, and with care. The three workers were friendly and discussed the task to ensure they understood our requirements. They accomplished a lot in little time, taking pains not to create collateral damage, and to clean up assiduously when finished. I would happily recommend the service, an it is great to see it coming from a social enterprise with a sustainability ethos.

Accurate web site description of woodchip for landscaping our garden. Very good value, and just what we wanted. Helpfully, suggested alternative to bulk bag supply which would provide much more product for the same cost. [But the bulk bags were more suitable for us on this occasion.] Good range of delivery dates/times offered. Phoned before they arrived. Delivered by courteous and friendly personnel. Clear payment options. Great to have a really local supplier. Would certainly use again.

I first bought firewood from TreeStation in bags at the Unicorn store in Chorlton. Getting through quite a lot meant it was both cheaper and more convenient to have direct bulk deliveries. The quality, service and value for money have always been excellent. And on looking into the company through the website and attending their open days, I was very impressed with the environmental and ethical focus - so much so that I first became a member by buying community shares, and a year later put myself forward as a volunteer non-executive director. Naturally, I would strongly recommend them for tree work, firewood and timber products. Lots of good stuff on the website.

First rate tree job in the back garden and the landscaping TreeStation also did on the front drive is much admired. Left everywhere neat and tidy too, Well done!
