Lots of detailed information is available around the internet on the Minster, it's buildings and history, but for me, the beautiful building is a delight to just sit inside and look around. In the summer months there are recitals in the Minster every Wednesday lunchtime at 12:30 until 1:15 and they are free (with a retiring collection in aid of the organ restoration fund). The programme is varied and diverse. Solo instrumentalists, local school musicians honing their public performance experience. Groups and ensembles. They all have a place here. In the winter months starting around mid to end of October the recitals switch from every week to every first Wednesday of each month. Same time though: 12:30 to 1:15. You are encouraged to bring your flask and lunch so you can be entertained whilst you eat (try to keep sluuuuurping and noisy munching to a minimum hehe). Snacks and drinks are also available at the Visitor Centre Cafe at lunchtimes.

We had a good look around the Minster and found it a beautiful and interesting place. Nice talking to the Curate gave us a history of the building.
