Story

Enjoy a fascinating self guided tour of the underground mines and Great
Opencast and learn about life in the Bronze Age in our new Visitor Centre. A
visit to our shop and tearoom complete the visit.

We are open 7 days a week from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm from mid-March through to
the end of October.

Loved this place! Never been before, surprised at how much access there is...! Not a full day out but we spent a couple of hours there (two young boys and one older one, we had fun!) Really interesting site, lots to learn, hope they get the recognition that they deserve. Shop reasonably priced, bonus second hand book shop too

Absolutely stunning piece of Welsh / British geological history. A site of true world prominence and importance. The site is very well presented and preserved so as to give visitors a real insight as to how the copper ore was mined, processed and used to produce almost 1800 tonnes of metal almost 4000 years ago. Many attractions claim to be unique - this is !!!!!!

Great visit to the mines! Really interesting and informative placards around. Hats are provided to prevent any bumping of heads (worked well as my partner is very tall!). Would highly recommend a tour around, in any weather!

This is a hidden gem of an attraction. There is free parking and facilities available. There are useful displays explaining the context and a film. Then the tour takes you through the bronze age mine that was uncovered. We loved the mine and the fact that they are continuously adding to the attraction as new finds are made.

Absolutely fantastic, loved everything about my visit. I love the fact that it's a self guided tour and not some annoying know it all taking you around. Can be a little narrow in places and I was a bit worried about how I was going to manage but I think the best advice for that is to take it slow
