Pies were so nice here. Fabulous flavours. I enjoyed that there wasn't too much on the menu. To me that says that they focus on making small amounts very well. I don't like peas at all, but I tried the mushy peas here and I loved them! I also had the blackberry spritz which so was a perfect balance of flavours. Thank you for an extremely enjoyable first meal in England after 14hr flight.

I had a meat and potato pie with gravy and mushy peas at atmospheric Altrincham Market. By gum it was good! The pie itself was simply delicious and nutritious. Surrounded by an actual moat of superlative crushed peas, possibly the best I've tasted, and with rivulets of gravy running down the pie crust, it was off my scale of expectations. It was served quickly, and nice and hot too. Recommended to any pie fancier! Yum!
Tried a meat and potato pie which was so dry it was almost solid and completely inedible. Sent it back and tried a chicken and ham - no idea where the chicken was as it seemed more like dried up ham and potato. Inedible hard pastry again. Customer service dismissive to the point of rudeness - advised eatingthem with gravyor sauce! Awful pies, awful company and wouldn't buy again ot recommend.
I had the Lancashire cheese and onion pie, and hubby had the beef and ale suet pudding with mashed potato and gravy and it was amazing. Best cheese and onion pie ever!Food: 5/5
I order these pies online and they are delivered in chilled packaging and I freeze straight away. I also buy at Chorlton makers market when I visit family. They are the best pies you will ever eat. I won’t get pies from any where else anymore. As a family we’ve now had all the different pies they make. With a pile of veg they are delicious.

Went to the stall in Atrincham market after reading lots of reviews. Disappointed as the peas clearly where nuked in the microwave and i suspect the pie was as well. Won't be in a rush to go back
Enjoyed the food at Great Northern Pie Company, little mix up in the orders food came that wasn't ours, half of our order was quickly replaced but a long wait for the 2nd pie to come. Very tasty beef mince pie - would recommend if you fancied a pie, enjoyed our meal!
My girlfriend ordered a Lancashire cheese and onion pie for me and I got given a chicken and ham instead. The pie was lovely, but I wanted the cheese and onion as I have had it before. I got told that I ordered the chicken and ham and that was it. She walked away quicker than tramp on chips and I was never able to ask for the one I ordered. If I was vegetarian I would have been screwed! They had a receipt for the transaction stating we ordered the chicken and ham but when ordering the girl on the front wasn't really paying attention and it seemed like they wanted us gone as quick as possible.
