War Memorial Garden is Grate II listed historical monument with outstanding greenery. It is also wonderful place to stop for a while and take a moment to sit and rest. Surrounded by great trees and shrubs it is often visited by locals. The most impressive is two lions on each site of the monument. The monument has a panel of the names of those who sacrificed their lives in Great War.
Beautiful and huge monument, in the middle of Ashton-under-Lyne. Some benches to seat around. Ideal for walks or just sitting down and reading your favourite book etc.
Great memorial commemorating victims and heroes of the 1st WW. Close to city center and two local beautiful cathedrals.

Really pleasant and quiet memorial gardens. Catch it on a cold, frosty winters morning. A fitting memorial for our glorious war dead in my opinion.
Only walk my dog here but it's a nice tranquil place if you want to sit and watch the world go by

What can I say rest well all that have fallen in battle sleep. Well there is seating and in the summer lots of colours from the flowers a nice place to rest
