Nice little cafe with a great riverside terrace. We opted to sit inside the spacious and airy dining area to stay warm but the terrace was still busy and I can imagine is an amazing place to stop for lunch in the nice weather. We were greeted quickly at the door and chose our table. After ordering at the counter the drinks were with us in a matter on minutes. The food followed shortly afterwards. The panini and sandwich were great and the cup of homemade chilli I had in the side was really tasty.
Nice place for breakfast or lunch. Sitting next to river, beautiful. Very soft toast and bacon baked to the perfection. Definitely recommend
Dropped in for cup of tea. The staff working were not very welcoming, one didn't even say a single word, totally blank, apart from when she was watching her male colleagues cleaning a table, it took three people! Cakes were OK but wouldn't go back in a hurryFood: 4/5
Nice little cafe, supposedly dog free. So we thought we were safe. Unfortunately, they don't check on people claiming their dog is a 'service dog', and one owner plonked herself and her animal right next to my asthmatic husband. So we had to leave our nice seat by the river and go inside. Didn't go back.
Nice little place to grab a hot drink or bite to eat. Has a mixture of sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and some sweet foods. Nice little outdoor seating area too with views of the stream. They also sell some beers.
Went in here with my daughter while waiting for the bus. Staff were immediately helpful and found us a table. We had a window view of the river out the back. My daughter got the ice cream which tasted lovely, I got an americano coffee. Came to a fiver which I thought was a good price. I had a nice experience here and I would recommend popping in. Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for kids menu and there are toilets. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat to gain access.
I used to go here every time I visited the lakes. Today I tried to visit with my dog but they no longer accept dogs. While I understand there has been incidents, why not stop accepting those people and dogs. To stop accepting all dogs is crazy. I think it's already dropping in business. Everywhere else was packed, there were several empty tables in here. I ended up getting a takeaway coffee, which was actually really nice. Smaller than I remember but lovely. I really hope the managers see some sense soon. Surely they know how many people take dogs to the Lake District? Immediately alienating hundreds on a daily basis.
Absolutely loved the place, is located so nicely beside a river which makes it more enjoyable having a quick bite and drink in the garden. The staff is very nice and welcoming, the food and drinks are very good as well and not expensive either. If your travels take you to Grasmere have a stop and you will not regret it for sure! Enjoy

The tea gardens have a lovely, heated outdoor terrace beside the river with great views across to St Oswald's church and the graveyard where Wordsworth is buried. The service was friendly and quick, and the food very tasty if not a bit pricey. I'd definitely recommend it as a pleasant place to take a break from sightseeing whilst in Grasmere.
