The moment I stepped into The Grapes, I was greeted by a friendly bartender. As I spent more time there, I had the chance to chat with both the bar staff and fellow patrons, and I must say, everyone here exudes warmth and friendliness. While the selection of draughts may be minimal, the pints I tried were exceptional. They were clean, fresh, and bursting with flavor, everything you'd expect from a good pint. No complaints here. Despite a busy bar, I was pleasantly surprised to receive quick service. I never had to wait more than a few seconds to be served by a member of the attentive staff. The prices at The Grapes are not just reasonable; they are exceptional. In fact, they might be some of the most wallet-friendly in the area, making it an even more appealing choice. One notable feature at this venue is the opportunity to play a game of pool for just £0.50. They even provide cues if you don't have your own, and they are more than adequate and easy to play with. My experience at The Grapes was undeniably positive. I relished a quality pint and had a great time playing a few games of pool with the welcoming locals. I wholeheartedly recommend this pub to anyone seeking a friendly atmosphere and affordable drinks. Rating:
Lovely place, locals are friendly as is the staff! Beer garden is a good size with a nice selection of flowers around. Good prices, good drink and if your lucky you will meet some lovely dogs aswell!
Nice little pub, good range of drinks and also a bigger room out back which you may not think is there till you get inside. They also have a pool table with plenty if wipes and gels etc to keep everything covid safe. On the weekends it can be very busy but that should only say good things i guess.
My favourite bar great people always welcome staff are brilliant and friendly i would recommend it to anyone good chat and good beer
Good atmosphere in the bar. Very much a male orientated bar but, I believe, the lounge has a different slant.
my local boozer! always has free food on the bar, pies, sausages cheese lovely hot homemade soup etc. got a good seletion of beer spirits and wines. free pool and jukebox on certain days and the staff are mint especially wor andrew!
