I’m off to Skeg Vegas for a few days. Usually I would change trains at Nottingham to get there, but today I changed at Grantham instead. I’ve passed through Grantham station many a time but never been in the station. I had quite a long wait until the Skegness train so I thought I’d look around. I always find that the best railway stations have 4 platforms! I will say I really liked this station. A very cosy waiting room with some beautiful glass windows and plug sockets by the seats! Fab artwork dotted around the platforms. Some great transport links via LNER and EMR services, I didn’t know Hull trains stopped here! A starbucks and a Costa pop up is available as well as some vending machines. Definitely a 5* train station and I look forward to my next visit here.

If you would like to know where a train is actually going then sorry, I'm afraid an information screen here is an advertising board first & public service last. Then it breaks down & you get no information at all, really poor.nnIf you can actually find them signage is extremely limited the new toilets fitted about a year ago are already suffering from issues with closures. It would be embarrassing if anyone in charge of these decisions actually cared but they don't.

Travelling to Wembley for the Championship knockout final Leeds Utd v Southampton.nStation was incredibly busy as you can imagine.nThe station itself was clean and tidy with good information displays, the toilets were very good and clean.nUnfortunately the train we were due on was already over subscribed so we were unable to board .nThe staff were friendly and very helpful and swiftly had us all on another train to Peterborough that enabled us to change to Kings Cross.nCan’t stress just how busy it was , there were 40,000 Leeds fans headed to Wembley and we all got there on time.nWell done Grantham Station.

The place has got secured and free bike parking. The car parking runs by NCP and it under £5. The staff are very polite.

I used this station as connection to bottesford. It's medium sized, has covered and heated seating area whilst you wait for train and refreshment machines available albeit usual high prices. Staff friendly and available to assist. No toilet on platform 3/4 side, you have to go to main entrance for that. On platform 1 there's a Costa coffee. Due to being a older station not as Accessible as some of the modern stations but good overall.
