Visited Easter Sunday. Telephoned 1st and was warmly spoken to on phone. Reserved a table recommended. Pleasant surroundings & friendly staff. Ordered food x1 Gluten free brekki & was advised immediately they sadly had no GF bread but someone would run along to the local shop to see if they had any. Unfortunately no stock but the staff straight away offered alternative suggestions & offered straight away an optional extra would be free. They reassured me that everything would be safe from gluten and I will say they delivered a fabulous offering. Absolutely brilliant service and excellent quality food. Hubby was impressed with the quality of bacon & sausage and the amount on his plate. Value for money. Will visit again. 10/10 - thank you. Dietary restrictions: Able to offer alternatives
Myself and my friend were working in the area and looked for a coffee house. We were immediately attracted by the name, so we took a drive. We were so happy we did! We were immediately greeted by Emma who was so welcoming and friendly, we had a little chit chat and then she said she had to go and get some lettuce When we sat Jade came to take our drinks order and was equally friendly and chatty, we couldn’t have felt more at home. Our drinks came out and were delivered super quickly. The quality of the coffee was delicious. We sat and looked over the menu, we had both already eaten breakfast but it all smelt and looked so good we HAD to order. I had the Breakfast muffin which was absolutely delicious all local produce too The price point was so reasonable if you wanted freshly made local poached eggs on toast it was £3.50!! Upon leaving every member of staff said goodbye from the kitchen, if I am ever in the area again I will most certainly be back! Thank you so much for a lovely morning
Nice village cafe with all day breakfast. Worth leaving the main roads with on street parking outside. Ordered the Weedon Regular breakfast and americano coffee. Cooked perfectly. Highly recommended. Lunchtime options of sandwiches, rolls, soups, and a few meals available.
If I could give this fabulous little cafe 10 stars I would!!! In a quiet little street of quaint houses with parking outside, this quirky stop over is charming and full of character that keeps you occupied even without sampling their amazing breakfast! Simplicity is key here but my! Amazing tasty locally purchased product! Sausages full of gorgeous ‘straight from the farm’ flavour, thick, succulent, divine! Bacon cut thickly and slightly salty, fried with flavour. Black pudding moist and amazingly flavoursome without being too strong! Top this off with a good cup of coffee and you’re there - perfect breakfast! And if the food isn’t enough to charm you, there’s super paintings from a local artist to buy at really affordable prices, fabulous quirky plant displays from another local supplier and bizarre stories of shoes warding off witches in fireplaces from your wonderfully friendly waitress. Speed of service- really quick. Friendliness - top notch Food tastiness - out of this world please order the sausages! Value for money - great! Thank you Gavin and Mandy and the team. We’ll be back!! And this time we’ll remember to pay and not be so overcome by our visit!.
We visited this cafe as a pitstop on a trip to Leeds and what a great cafe it is. The cafe was busy and we hadn't booked, but we were accommodated anyway. The cafe is set in a lovely village. The food was incredible. It was obvious the ingredients used were top quality. We have had many full English breakfasts around the country but I have to say this was the best yet. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the local area.
Staff that you are welcomed by are absolutely wonderful very attentive and lovely. Normally when you go to a cafe the quality of sausage that is provided is what one would call a Richmond bread sausage but at Granny’s Cafe the sausages are of impeccable quality for this reason it shows the love that they have for the business and the experience you will witness. Below is The Weedon Nipper I will be back for sure!
Friendly sincere staff with a bit of banter if you want it. Efficient and tasty traditional food served up with piping hot coffee. Many affordable options and choices of breakfast and lunches. I visited my parents all the way from USA Oklahoma. Left money behind the till to buy parents breakfast after I left. I think they enjoyed surprising my parents, almost as much as I did! There is also an artist, that has thought provoking original paintings on display for sale. Very nice and easily affordable and unique. Well worth a visit, if parking is tight on the street. Park in the “jubilee field” parking and it’s a short walk. Kid-friendliness: Several Dads came in with very well behaved children. It was nice to see Dads n their kids. Pet friendly also, the dog was also well behaved.
I had a really lovely breakfast here. The service was great, I didn't get harassed too much but also didn't get ignored, I felt like a valued customer. The atmosphere is warm and cosy. My only area for improvement would have been that the sausages were fried, not grilled/oven cooked, but I guess that's to be expected with a fried breakfast. It might also have been as i was there quite late when most people would have had breakfast. I would definitely recommend it. Kid-friendliness: High chairs were available.
We had breakfast here before going on a walk . Absolutely stonking breakfast, everything was so fresh and tasty and came quickly and delivered with a smile ! Can't ask for more than that , we will definitely be returning . Thank you xFood: 5/5
WOW WOW WOW !! Just been here for a birthday brekkie & absolutely fabulous, different varieties of breakfast as well. We were a bit picky about swapping some things on the menu but not a problem to the staff. Food was all cooked lovely & proper food as well unlike some of the franchise places, can't recommend this place highly enough & dog friendly
