The most gorgeous little place to spend a sunny summers day! I’ve been three times now and every time, it is worth the hour long drive - very close to the Peak District as well so perfect to pair with a mini hike. Must visit in the winter too as the dome dining has the best Christmas vibes. The surroundings are beautiful - it’s definitely in my top three places to eat. Gorgeous food and always great service.
Came for a lovely Afternoon Tea with my husband today, we sat in one of the lovely domes to celebrate my birthday. We can not recommend it enough, the food and cakes were absolutely delicious. We want to especially give thanks to Jess who looked after us today, she did a fantastic job even with the horrendous weather, Jess made sure we had plenty of coffee’s and was having a nice time.nWe both Thank you Jess and I look forward to coming back here again.
My first experience enjoying an afternoon tea with friends .service was impeccable ,food was an assorted open sandwiches ,milk shake,lemon drizzle cakes etc,hot and cold drinks included in our afternoon tea and their chicken is Halal . The Dome was comfortable and we had blankets if we were feeling cold . The beauty of the canal next to us while enjoying our food was relaxing . Excellent for families .Next time we will try the famous Grandpa Greens ice cream !
We would like to start by thanking “Amelia” for the service provided, we felt welcomed as soon as we arrived at our table.nWithin a minute or two she was taking our orders, and when the food arrived it was 10/10.nThe bread was fresh and the ingredients were all fresh too.nWe ordered a selection of items off the menu and every item came out even better than expected.nI think last time I tried I sandwich that good it was made by a high end Italian deli.nExcellent foodnExcellent servicenAtmosphere was very quiet and relaxing.nWe will be attending by again in the future for sure!
We visited Saturday lunchtime with no booking, there is a lot of outdoor seating so we were able to get a table no problem, though this may not be the case on sunnier days.nnWe enjoyed the food, though it's a little on the pricey side as people say £5 for a glass of orange juice. 2 meals and 2 drinks set us back £38.nnWe went for a canal walk afterwards which was beautiful and then came back for ice cream. There is a separate queue for take out and we did have to wait for 10mins or so. £4 for a 1 scoop cone but generous size and very tasty. Lots of flavours to choose from.nnYou can also buy tubs of ice cream from the freezer in the take out section to take home. Very dog friendly place and staff were accommodating and polite. Lovely atmosphere and would happily return.
