A shame to see it so empty because of the pandemic. But it is still a beautiful urban site. The only worrying thing is the number of people who cross the place without a mask or without maintaining a safety distance. They should be more restrictive and security personnel should be much more attentive with those things.
Personally, I haven't seen many train stations that include a proper, full shopping centre. I think the concept is amazing! The architecture is absolutely unique, and there are some really interesting places in the mall like a Kitty Cafe, and a couple of really charming themed restaurants.
The shops that are open are well stocked and useful. Many have closed particularly John Lewis and Pylones. It's starting to feel like a ghost town.
VERY GOOD THIS STATION CENTRAL BIRMINGHAM
Lots of reastaurants and fast food places whilst you wait for your train! You can also walk through the station straight into the Bullring which is very handy.
Good design, look really good.
Excellent development, I can recall way back in 1994 when it was roomered that Grand Central was going to be developed. It's a fitting port of entry and exit for a wonderful city.
It's a fun to me, a fun to see shoppers in grand central shopping in safety, I love the unity everyone wearing masks and social distancing as told to be, welcome one and all come and see the love of family of all race together as one,,..
