I'll start by saying I really enjoyed the food, but it took ages to come out and the place was dead. Thursday afternoon, hardly anyone in and we waited 45 minutes for food to come out missing part of the order then another 40 minutes after for desert. Disappointing.
Really nice pub with brilliant service and value for money meals.nWe popped in for a beer and ended up grabbing dinner. Two brilliant gammon meals for £13 is incredible and both were excellent.nThe traditional ale is also excellent, and the staff are always on hand if you need anything else. A top pub.
Was in for the rugby yesterday. While their was a bit of a wait because it was rammed, I got my hands on the fish and chips. It was class. Caroline and Joe behind the bar were on point, they’re we quick and knowledgeable about the drinks.
Visited The Granary from out of town to meet up with family for a Christmas Sunday lunch and had a really lovely experience. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive despite it being busy with a cup final football match being on the day we visited. Food came out quickly and was excellent value for money for the quality and portion sizes. Would definitely visit again when in the town.
Fantastic food, great value for money. Staff and management very friendly, and communicated well. We stopped off for food on our way home from a weekend away, had a lovely meal in a great atmosphere.
