There are many places to eat in this Shopping Centre, and GBK are the only one where there is never a queue, which can be a good and bad thing. The staff and interior are nice but the food is just OK. Chicken and burgers were ordinary and dry, chips tasted like cooked from frozen and were over seasoned. Fine if you're in a hurry, have an impatient family or a teenage date, otherwise book ahead for somewhere better.
Burgers are ok just ok but portions are small, even with portion of chips together.
Went to give the kids a treat after a hospital appointment. There was 5 of us. Went in found €10 on the floor and though it was a good sign. Was I wrong, ordered food, had to wash hands after ordering food at service counter as it was so dirty. The table was dirty, then we got the food, well if you could call it that. One person eat the burger to keep the piece at table, two were not touched and two had a few bites out them. We got served over cooked slop. Waiters were moody and a bit brain dead. Over all, Hygiene 2 out 10. Food 0 out 10. Staff. 2 out 10 Cost. over priced slop. Four Star the place shouldn't even have One. I won't be going back again.
Myself, my husband and our baby went into gourmet burger kitchen this evening and left really disappointed. Service was terrible, we weren't given menus or told that we had to order at the counter. After we ordered and paid in advance we waited about 40 minutes for food. 2 burgers both cold, dry and rock hard. Onion rings covered in a disgusting crumb, these were inedible in our opinion and the garlic sauce was horrible. Really disappointed and won't be returning again. If they didn't make us pay in advance I would not have paid the full bill for such awful food.
Not too happy. They have changed the restaurant a bit. You have to order at the counter, I feel it cheapens the place somewhat. And their beers are very expensive. 6eur for a can. Small selection of beer and not good value. My daughter's burger was also burnt probably explains why the order took more than 30 mins to arrive to table and it wasn't that busy. We used to love this place won't go back for a while
€20 for burger, chips and and Coke. Good thing the food was tasty. The competition around here is better prices for the same standard. I also don't like being asked if I am enjoying my food with a mouth full of burger. Finally the place was clean although there is only one other person here.
Best restaurant around. My brother and I go a lot, too much as we keep going back for more. Staff almost family there and we made a friend who knows our order off by heart. Incredible food. 10/10 burgers and hei hei fries to go with the burger. Best meal you're going to have and super clean overall. As I said we are regular customers and we know all the details about GBK. I would recommend to everyone and I would not listen to people who have only gone once!
Used to love coming here and hadn't been in over a year so was looking forward to it. Today however I was pretty disappointed with what I got. Their bacon cheese burger was nothing special and the hei hei chips where lacking in seasoning. I had to pretty much cover the plate with the hei hei salt to get any flavour and my brothers rosemary fries had no flavour at all. Plenty of other places to eat with far better tasting food for the same price or less! Staff were polite and friendly but really didn't need to hear about the waitress being hungover and just waiting to finish her shift so she could pass out on her bed.
we asked for a refund and left. we both got the wrong burgers, watched as they scraped them and re-served them to us still incorrectly chips were stone cold, chicken wings undercooked. this place is only still open because surrounding restaurants are so busy and they get passing trade from people who can't wait for the others
This restaurant has been a favorite of ours since it first opened in swords, it’s been about a year since we’ve visited due to arrival of children so was really looking forward to this rare visit. It was a wet bank holiday Monday so pavilions was packed but was surprised to find GBK not full. Maybe this is why : The classic beef burger 6oz which is the large one was much smaller than I’ve had before and at €8.50 was way overpriced. The portion of skin on fries which were always freshly cooked and a generous portion arrived They were like over cooked frozen chips with a thick greasy half burnt crispy shell on them, definitely not fresh cut and literally a teacup sized portion for €3.50 I was shocked that they think this is acceptable. We also had a side order of the mushroom poppers. They were very nice but charging €4.25 for four small stuffed and fried mushrooms is disgraceful. For whatever reason this place has gone seriously down hill on quality and value for money , service was fine and place was clean, this is my opinion and I can say I won’t be going back here. I have never posted a bad review in my life but couldn’t let this go.
