Been loving their cheese & onion pasties for yearsthe best.. Just bought plain barms for the first time.. So light and soft 10/10
The taste of Preston. I've been visiting this place since mid 80's and I can't just drive past. Still selling yummy Butter pies
Can’t beat a pie, peas and gravy! Best pies in preston
Me and my wife both had pea and ham soup and agreed it was delicious. Then we had a meat and potato pie I enjoyed mine but my wife wasn't impressed so that just opinions. One thing we did agree on was how miserable the lady serving us was so we probably won't go back.
Cheese and onion pasty, tasty but literally dripping in grease. Lacked any taste of cheese, more like a cheesy butter pasty. Butter pie. If you like your pies intact then avoid. No foil to hold it together, just wrapped in greaseproof and paper. It was that greasy it literally fell apart within minutes. Did taste nice, plenty of white pepper notes. First and last time I visit
I can't rant enough about this bakery, it has virtually everything you would want from a food shop such as this. The quality and choice of pies, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, soups, salads, biscuits drinks, etc is second to none. The service is backed up by friendly staff, such as Jo, who is very welcoming and accommodating in everyway. The cost is not to be queried as the quality is fantastic, but nonetheless the prices are very fair and keen. In my own humble opinion, this is the best bakery I have come across, no offence to the rest.
In my own humble opinion, I reckon it is the best bakery in Preston, if not anywhere, but I'm fairly sure others will disagree . Either way, my taste buds don't lie, as the quality and taste of the food made by these craftsperson is second to none. If it comes down to price, the saying you pay for quality is turned on its head here as their prices are very reasonable for what you get, making the purchase a steal in effect. Please don't put up your prices based just on my review . Well recommended .
I've never been myself. My sister dropped a cheese and onion pasty off to me from there as self isolating. Wow it was a dream come true. Knocks socks off Gregg's. No comparison. It was melt in the mouth pastry. Plus lovely onions with the right balance of cheese. Superb
My first visit to this shop was in 1963, during my working life I was a regular visitor and now in my retirement I still go on every single visit to Preston. I can honestly say in 56 years the quality has always been the best and I will continue to visit as long as I can drive.
Cycling past recently, popped in and what a gem of a bakery,, everything is made in house,, lovely Manchester tarts, apple pies are awesome,,, lovely ladies serve you,,polite and welcoming,,,
