Absolutely fabulous dinner - presented so beautifully and one of the best we have ever eaten. The service was lovely - very friendly and knowledgable. We stayed overnight and the room was luxurious, comfortable and spotlessly clean.Rooms: 5/5

We recently spent a few days at Gordon’s and yet another truly wonderful experience. We’ve stayed there many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Gary’s tasting menu is simply fabulous and he uses only the very best produce available. Maria is front of house and takes excellent care of their guests. Attention to detail is immaculate and the service is first rate. The extensive wine list contains beautiful wines from around the world. This is fine dining at it’s very best. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and breakfast if one can manage that after such a fantastic dinner! is another delight. Gordon’s is a “must go to” destination and the Watson family deserve the very highest accolades for this superb restaurant.

I visited a few months back. I didn't write a review then, but I've come back to write one now because, after having been to places that are much more expensive and not nearly as good, it feels wrong not to write a review for the place that now safely tops our list. The place is pretty tiny, but combined with the friendliness of the host, it gave the whole experience a warm, relaxed feel. The menu was a taster menu, so we didn't need to make any choices. I won't tell you what the surprises that arrived were, but they were all delicious. We didn't have a single dish that felt unbalanced, even with some highly imaginative pairings. Since the restaurant is a bit out of the way, we booked one of the rooms. We didn't realize it when we booked, but that breakfast was a great chance to experience even more tastiness at breakfast! It's a bit too expensive for us to visit often, but it's worth every penny, so looking forward to having an excuse to go back.
Undoubtedly the restaurant ranks among the best we have been to. There was no choice, taster menu or nothing although the chef did prepare something extra for one of our company who wasn't partial to one of the courses. We were not disappointed. Each of the 8 courses was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately we live too far away to make it a regular haunt but we will certainly be back. For us it was definitely a Muchelin standard meal.
A superb meal once again! Gary is a true Masterchef. His ability to conjure up the most amazing flavours is testament to his culinary talent. He and Maria make a great team coupled with very comfortable accommodation. Look forward to seeing you both again soon!Rooms: 5/5
Stayed overnight and had a meal for my partner's birthday. I didn't realise it was a tasting menu in the restaurant which put me off a bit at the start of the meal. How wrong was I! Every course was absolutely amazing! The owners and the chef are lovely and welcoming. We will definitely eat there again and I cannot recommend it enough.
Wow! Cannot believe this restaurant is so close to us and we have never been. This was one of the best meals we have ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant, standard of food and service is second to none. First class all round.
Excellent quality food in the vicinity of Lunan Bay. A lovely place to escape to either for an overnight stay or just for a great dinner.
