When the New Golden Wok food in CF became stupidly greasy, we tried Good Earth and the food doesn’t compare. Consistently excellent take away deliveries for many years. Taste wise it is trumped by the Peking Phoenix restaurant in Eastleigh, but the portions they deliver are ridiculously small in comparison so we’ve ditched them. Good Earth for us!
Food is pretty good, but good luck when something goes wrong. We've had multiple issues with food turning up extremely late, not at all or the wrong orders, sometime a combination of those, when that does happen, there's not so much as a sorry, pitiful customer service, theres slim to no chance of getting any compensation either, will not be ordering from them again
Me and my family order from there website and they wanted us to selected times for delivery and they can't seem to deliver on time , tried calling them 5 time and adventurely got through and someone didn't under what we tried saying and said 15 more minutes . This is poor service
Absolutely awful food ordered 1/4 aromatic duck it wasn’t hot and had 5 small bones in and the leg bone with no meat on. Avoid this dish also less than a half a leg of meat. Chicken chow mein was oily and cold the chicken was pink and chewy was inedible and the prawn toast was in oil in the tub they served it in. Wouldn’t return has gone down hill since they closed for a while. Clearly a new chef and isn’t very capable to cook to previous standard. Lost a regular customer will go elsewhere now
Food was fresh, but everything tasted like vinegar. We had crispy chilli beef, kung-fu po King praw s a d sweet and sour sauce and everything tasted the same. The prawns were crispy which was good, but the taste put me off. Because of this I won't order again.Food: 3/5

Service was abysmal waited for an hour over the estimated delivery and nothing had arrived and we had not been contacted that our food would be delayed. Tried to call for quarter of an hour before eventually getting though and was very carelessly told that it should arrive in half an hour. Half an hour later, there was still no sign of any food. So tried calling through on the phone and not having any luck for another 15 minutes. My partner decided to go down there to see what was happening and ask for our money back. There were 2 other people in the shop in the same scenario. One of them had been waiting an hour longer than us. We had been waiting a total of 2 and a half hours before getting our money back. So we were unable to order from elsewhere also. The food might be good, I am unable to confirm that, but if you would like to try it I would suggest you put your order in at least the night before
Placed order for delivery at 17.15 as its new years eve i knew it would be delayed..finally arrived at 21.00 after 3 phonecalls.Had missing item so rung again to tell them and was delivered within 5 mins! Not once did i get an apology for them forgetting my order,the almost 4 hour delay or the missing item! Customer service is shocking!
Despite an online message with my order and phoning them to say that we could not have egg in any of the foods we ordered, when the Mushroom Rice arrived, it had egg in it! Luckily, this was noticed before we could eat it. When flagging this problem up, all we got was a non commital sorry and what felt like a shrug of the shoulders. They added that their noodles didn't have egg in them but other foods did - as if we should already have known this. For anyone with a severe allergy to egg, this could potentially be dangerous. On the menu, it said Mushroom Rice, not Mushroom and Egg, yet this is what we got. If you have allergies, I advise you to have a serious think about whether to buy from this business. Oh, and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to receive our order from the time it was placed. Again, no explanation, just a sorry. This is no way to run a business. Very disappointing. p.s. The food we could actually eat was in fact tasty and the portion sizes good. Just a shame that the service was such a big let down.
With a heavy heart it's time to change my rating for Good Earth from 5 Stars.. As a loyal customer for 30+ years the past 12-24 months the food now being offered is awful. New Cheif Maybe!?! Rice tastes burnt, overcooked eggs, chilli beef, sesame prawn toast and more cremated! These complaints are not isolated to one order, all meals are now inconsistent and unappetizing. I took a 6month break from Good Earth but unfortunately once again the food ordered was way below par. I've always recommended Good Earth to family and friends but will no longer unless I hear things have changed.
