Overall as a facility the range is good, decent location, friendly staff. Plenty of well placed targets with accurate yardages. The top tracer works really well, and tracked all of my shots - which was rare as most other top tracer ranges I've been to can be a bit hit and miss.nnI only had 2 gripes.. The main one being the maximum limit of 75 balls per person, per day. The range wasn't busy, I was obviously willing to pay for the balls. It just seems strange to 'gatekeep' the opportunity to spend more money with the facility. Especially since there was empty bays and no one waiting.nnAnd not being told at the till that we cannot use tees in the upstairs bays - I can understand and respect the decision but the assumption that everyone should be aware is rather frustrating.nnI obviously wasn't local very prominent southern accent so it would have been nice just to share that information with me at the till.nnIf in the Mcr area again, I don't think I'd return. I'd travel a little further and go to the Trafford Centre. Shame really.
Arrived to be told we could only have 75 balls because the collection machine wasn't working. Got onto a bay and emptied the balls, looked up to see the screen was broken and matt was torn all over. Wen to the only other bay available and the matt was even worse. Ordered a beer. Waited and waited. Overhead staff telling another bay that orders weren't getting through to the bar, so told her about our order. She came back after a while to tell me they didn't have the PINT of IPA I'd ordered, but had Perona for the same price. Shows up later with a small bottle of Peroni. Travelled a long way and have dropped my 5 star review from last year when everything was new and working.
Excellent adventure golf course in a stunning location with 18 holes priced at £7.95 for adults. A fun challenging course with beautiful views.
It’s a hit and miss if they have balls which makes risking going not worth it. This has been an issue for a while, seems like an easy fix.nnUpdate: I waited the time the they said one hour and when I went back in they said it would take a further 30 minutes. Waste of time. FYI I watched at least 15 people park up and go in only to be told there’s no balls, a simple sign outside would work wonders.
I use this range multiple times.Really nice driving range. Top tracer works great. The bar/restaurant serve decent food n drink. Nice and modern. And the onsite American golf store is great.nCan get busy sometimes but usually dont have to wait very long.nnOnly 3 stars as top tracer system went down today. So £9 for 100 balls is definitely over priced if you cant use the toptracer system.nNo signs to say it was down. Still charged full price. Was told you pay for the balls and the top tracer is like a free add on. But from a customer point of view the top tracer is part of the package and the main reason why you go there.nnShould have been discounted if unable to use full services.
