We have been having Chinese food takeaway from Golden River for longer than a year, it’s always been good, easy to order online, great delivery service, staff is very polite and friendly, food is one of the best in my area, thank you
Ordered food from here for collection. The said one price one the phone got There and it was £10 more than what they said. I had chicken fried rice only chicken and rice other one that wasn’t open classic canton has veg in theirs had lamb curry lamb was ok again no veg apart from onions. Order chicken balls a lot more expensive then classic canton and there food is 100% better. Large chips were small my friend order chow mien for her son which was just noddles no veg she had prawn fried rice which has a lot of prawns in it and curry and barbecue sauce. Food was very very dry. Classic canton and Chinese on markfield road is way better if you can drive go there food is always decent and worth what you spend unfortunately for us they weren’t open on a bank holiday
Such a great and authentic Chinese takeaway. I honestly haven’t had a good Chinese for a while but this spot has done it for me. I ordered over the phone last night and the lady I spoke to was so nice and was very polite. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the sizing for the beef in black bean sauce. It was smaller than I expected, besides this I loved everything 10/10 would recommend!

Last night I ordered their salt + pepper chicken for collection right next to closing time, and they had all the right to microwave me my chicken and finish closing up for the night, but I opened up my order to freshly fried chicken in a foil box and I couldn’t be more impressed. Thank you very much for the food guys, it was delicious!
Brilliant menu, food looks and tastes authentic, reasonably priced menu. Opens 6 days a week and also provides delivery if you want to order instead of collecting.

First time using golden river really fast delivery came in less than 20 mins! Piping hot everything was spot on really good tasting food. Highly recommend especially if local.
Amazing food, great staff and always warm and friendly welcome when you walk in or call for your order. The food is second to none, must try... I have been a customer for years, and have tried other chinese takeaways but always come back here. Food is fresh, tasty, you can see them cooking your food in the kitchen. Very clean place. Always happy with my food and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place
Great Singapore chow mein, nice and spicy. Sweet and sour chicken is lovely and the egg fried rice is bang on.
