Nice atmosphere. Helpful staff most of the food was amazing cooked dinner let it all down But the pies chips burgers kids meals were stunning and all homemade. I would go back just wouldn’t have a cooked dinner from here again
Shame because this could/should be an amazing amazing restaurant or bistro dinner set in amazing period building. Instead you have pub grub using cheap products and charging well above the quality of the products. I personally had Gammon, chips, egg and peas. Gammon tough and not cooked correctly. Chips cheap frozen chips. Frozen peas and a cheap egg with anaemia hard egg yolk Definitely not free range. No check backs from staff meaning I had to walk around trying to find a waitress. Overall I personally would avoid. Maybe good if you miss weatherspoons food. Vegetarian options: Mushroom burger
A gorgeous pub in the Cornish town of Looe that has been around since the 1600s according to the plaque above the fireplace. Seating inside or out. Veey friendly staff, quick service even though it was busy and the food was lovely. I'd highly recommend giving it a go if you are in the area. Dog friendly as long as they are out of the way under the table.
Very affordable, very decent food. Excellent and friendly service from our waitress Jasmine. Loved the decor, only downside was we wanted to sit outside but got told there's a separate menu for the garden. Overall very lovely though and I'd definitely come back.
If you are looking for good, home cooked food at a great price then this is the place to be. We was looking for a place that had a roast dinner on a Wednesday evening in Looe’s and just got lucky with the place. It’s a short walk from the car park in the town. The staff were very friendly & service was a reasonable waiting time considering how busy it was. Very happy family, it’s a 5 star review from us!!
Stopped in here for a late lunch as everywhere else seemed to shut at 3pm. Turned out to be a great choice! Greeted immediately and offered a choice of tables. Our waitress sorry, don't remember your name! was especially friendly throughout our visit. Food was very reasonably priced with perfect portion sizing. All meals ordered were delicious and well cooked. We would definitely return, hopefully to sample some of the rather tempting sounding desserts! Show less
We called in on NYE about 7pm hoping to bag ourselves a table. We were welcomed at the door and were offered another easier entrance as we had a pram. We got seated in the back room of the restaurant which was lovely at quiet. Staff very welcoming, food delicious and amazing cocktails! All the waitresses were so friendly and attentive, I would highly recommend and definitely go back. Vegetarian options: Highly recommend the mushroom burger! Kid-friendliness: Easy access with pram and clean high chair
We popped in on the off chance they had a table for 4. The gentleman welcomed us and said we could sit where we liked. The service was friendly and prompt. The food arrived in good time. Generally, the food was great. My daughter was disappointed with her burger and chips. The bread roll was hard. It appeared as though it had been in the freezer and not sealed properly, causing frost bite on the bread. Parking: No parking at premises although public car park nearby
Go up the back to the GG GARDEN lovely views over Looe and wonderful friendly area and garden cocktail drinks as well as many Gins and draft beers
Service: Nice decor, friendly staff but seemed a bit rushed in their service despite waiting a while for food. Waitresses apologised for the wait and thanked us. No check backs until after finished food, but friendly anyway. Food: burger and bun were nice, chips were a bit sad frozen medium thickness. Coleslaw also nice and home made. Over all nice atmosphere and friendly staff, just not the chunky chips and piping hot food we were thinking of on a rainy day.
