Cracking wee chippy and it's spotless,clean,friendly staff and tastes smashing!! Got a steak pie supper and asked for loads of salt,brown sauce and vinegar and that's exactly what I got! Very tasty and I'll definitely go back! Trust me the pictures don't do it justice,but it was very good trust me!

Good fish and chips and a variety of popular local food. Usually a queue at peak times and can be slow. Parking outside or across the road. If you can't be bothered cooking great choice for traditional tasty carryout.
I stay in Bainsford but travel to this chippy as best ,cleanest and most friendliest in the area

This is definitely one of the best chip shops in the area. I've never been disappointed by a visit here and we use here at least every couple of weeks. The quality of the food is absolutely top notch, the place is spotless, and the staff are very friendly. We're big fish n chip fans and extremely fussy - Golden Chip is up there with the very best in the country. Now take card payments too!
I popped in when I was through visiting family. The fish I had was really greasy and the chips weren't great unfortunately which is a shame because I always remembered this as a great chippy. It might have just been an off day though. Lovely friendly staff. Just a shame about the food on this occasion.

Having lazy ally just nipped into any chippie in the area and must admit was left dissapointed. Returning to the Golden Chip has restored my faith in chippie meals. Cooked to perfection, fresh and batter perfect The Golden Chip is the place to go
