Had a delivery. First try from here and will be the last! The owner/cheff needs a slap to be honest if they think this food is good enough.I called to ask if I get chicken in the chicken balls or egg in the egg fried rice and they said if we sent more to replace they will be the same. Instead they sent something else of the value to replace and that itself was trash! Never again.
Disgusting food, if i could give 0 stars i would. Doesn’t taste of anything at all, never had food so bland it’s awful. Avoid!!!!
Bloody awful!! This is quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway we’ve ever had. An estimate of 45 mins wait was given and after an hour and ten minutes of waiting, I called to see where the order was. They told me it hadn’t even been cooked yet. Fast forward another twenty five minutes and the order arrived…Luke warm, congealed, chicken balls looked like they’d been warmed up several times with the batter all dried out, and every bit of it was extremely greasy..so much so it ended up in the bin. Will never order from here again!
There’s a reason they don’t have a current hygiene sticker in the window…..it’s because they received a 2 out of 5! Avoid like the plague
Never again, absolutely disgusting house special curry, thick congealed, lacking in ingredients, egg fried rice was also lacking in egg. Only used because they do delivery which on the plus side was prompt.
Never again will we order from this restaurant. Our order was 2 hours late and when we tried to contact them they told us our food was with the driver. 30 minutes later still no food. Contacted them again and the staff were extremely rude to us. We did not recieve the order in the end and have had to apply for a refund through just eat. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!
Ordered from golden bamboo and the food came an hour and a half after ordering! Started eating chicken satay and swallowed it and pulled the next part apart and the chicken was raw!! Phoned them to complain and they said they can give a 20% discount on our next order, I told them we wouldn’t be ordering from them again and that I wanted the full refund back and they got stroppy on the phone saying they will send money through the post, I explained I wasn’t living at the address the food was delivered to and they said we are too busy to deal with this now and they will call me back, still no phone call, the customer service is shocking the people are rude, do not order from this takeaway ever! This is a serious issue and they should be able to take criticism and not shout at there customers and then put the phone down ! Environmental health will be informed about this. Not happy at all ! Eventually ended up calling them back to discuss it further and was told by the delivery man that we had to contact just eat to get a refund and to take the complaint further. the only good point I have to make was the delivery man and the just eat complaints team was really helpful.
Ordered a chinese last night arrived 6.25 had the starter then went onto main course at 6.355 which was incorrect. Rang golden bamboo explained their mistake and was asked why had we left it 1 hour to complain advised him it was only 10 mins he was really rude and insisted an hour. Asked him what they were going to do about their mistake and he hung up on me. Disgusting
OK so, I have seen this place has some mixed reviews. In my honets opinion, the food is very good. We have used the 4-5 times now. In all honesty I think the best option is to order online and collect. Delivery has been scretchy in the past, with forgotten things so have to wait to be redelivered. The staff are friendly enough, but haven't really had any other interaction with them other than when collecting. So overall the food is nice, the prices are OK and the staff are friendly. But probably easier to collect.
Very good sweet & sour chicken ball dish with egg fried rice. I agree the chicken is soft and tender. The chips aren't the best but let's be honest, the portions are massive so I'd be surprised if you even eat the chips lol. Always quick on delivery and very friendly too. I would recommend.
