A great farm shop selling a wide range of high quality and local produce: meat, veg, bread, deli counter and ‘Cook’ frozen foods posh cook at home, no prep, ready meals plus loads more! The Snack Shack offers a good variety of refreshments. There are some strategically placed picnic benches on the edge of the field with beautiful views across the fields. A great find! Highly recommended!
My first visit and I loved it, can't wait to go back but I'm not local. Delicious carrot cake in the Shack and good service. The food quality is excellent. The Cook's range is the best I've found. I didn't find it any more expensive than the better farm shops generally. One expects to pay for quality. A great find and we made a special journey to find it, living about an hour away.
Shops are full of good products, not that many are local but what they have is of good quality. The cafe/restaurant closed down an hour early so we went home hungry but with lovely produce
Great place for a coffee overlooking Cambridge in the background. Upmarket food options in the deli, fruit and veg and in the butcher. Lovely cafe, fantastic coffee and snacks sausage rolls are amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff! Thanks!!!
Staff are friendly and helpful. The butchers kindly made me some fresh sausages when they didn't have the ones I wanted. I just went and had a coffee while I waited, thank you
Customer for almost 10 years it used to be our main place for shopping now we get less and less every time butcher stand is the only reason to drive there Hard to mess up meat too much ! Especially bc they have nothing to do with it as they get it from major distributors. Our last lamb leg was of poor quality, beef in general oft gives too much water Our Côtes de boeuf are ok nothing exceptional their breads are and never were good it comes from local bakeries they are yet to pick the best one but cutting cheap deals gets you cheap quality In all a place to grab few items for a last minute shopping veggies and fruits are low quality for ridiculous price like most things there chocolates and biscuits despite their attractive packaging are cheaply made in Poland. Large selection of frozen food for people who want to pretend they know how to cook those goods look as friendly as their staff ; Indeed the large numbers of pompous staff who believe they need to adopted a bad attitude to work at an épicerie fine are quite amusing to watch as they will in time disappear Indeed the staff turn around is high and that says more about who hires them In fact that's the only very consistent thing about this place A prime example of bad customer service!
Saw this place as driving past, well saw the sign that said "fresh sausage rolls" and seeing as it was lunch time popped in. Unfortunately all said sausage rolls were sold out. A good indicator. Two types of shopping were on offer. Stay in the car and someone would come out or respect the rules and social distancing and walk around. Always up for seeing what's about I donned my ffp3 pask and went walkabout. A really nice deli was well stocked but I made a bee line for the butchers shop. Meat heaven. Every type of meat. Any cut you want. Well stocked. Well prepped. The gents were polite and happy to chat. Some delicious looking steaks and chateaubriand, but I went for lamb, pork ribs and burgers. All for a BBQ. I have to say that the meat looked delicious. Old school ribs. Thick and meaty. Good fat. Will be cooking these tonight. Overall a very nice find. Well recommended. And I shall be back for steaks...
Great for shopping fresh fruit, vegetables and a meat. Deli store with many different high quality products. Definitively worth a visit for fresh and seasoned cheese. Food-wise it's also worth for a relaxing Sunday lunch! ;-
Great little café and farm shop with awards to prove it! Good Selection of cakes & food including Gluten Free options and nice coffee. Have been visiting for years and always a pleasure.
Scone was a bit pricey for my liking and rather doughy. However tea was within a reasonable price range and was very nice - loose leaf in a tea filter thing. Pleasant enough place to sit for a bit after going for a nearby walk but is on the expensive side for shopping, etc. Would come back again for a drink.
