Pros: Very convenient station on a main bus route, ticket machine, clean, tannoy announcements. Cons: Very high up from the road, so steps, steps and steps, a hard walk even for the able bodied, but totally inaccessible for wheelchairs. Anyone with a baby buggy will struggle, even wheeled suitcase will be breathless when you get to the top. Is very quiet and secluded so may be intimidating to lone passengers waiting for a train.
Not bad if you can deal with the stairs to the platforms. No staff, and the only facility to speak of is a ticket machine at street level, but it's a quiet station. You'll probably be the only person there, and with it being elevated from the road, it's up in the trees with the wildlife. Probably the most relaxing station that Northern serve.
Very good you can get to Piccadilly in about 15 mins.return is about £5.
