God’s Providence House is a family owned, and run, traditional English tea room and licensed restaurant. We offer Afternoon Teas, cream teas, delicious full English breakfasts, main meals to light lunches and fantastic home made cakes. We source our produce from across the island whenever possible, meaning our food is made with fresh and tasty local ingredients. Give us a call on 01983 522085 to book in advance!

Had the most wonderful steak pie, full of lovely pieces of tender steak in beautiful crumbly pastry and really fresh veggies, no ultra processed food. We arrived slightly later than planned, but the pie and vegetables were so fresh and tasty. They could have been cooked to order. As I live here, I know where to go for the best food.Food: 5/5
What a lovely find. A very historic building with an interesting story. 4 of us ate lunch here and very nice it was too. We also watched a few others have a roast dinner which also looked amazing. Clean plates all round. As we left I noticed the lemon meringue pie which I wish I had tried as this looked huge and very nice. A good experience was had by all and to top it off the alcohol was very cheap. Both the girls had a scone each which was warmed up and again tasted amazing with some strawberry jam.
I’d highly recommend this charming old fashioned tea shop. The staff were very helpful and it is properly dog friendly. Very characterful establishment. The food matches the aesthetic, old fashioned school dinner favourites.Food: 4/5
