Love the number 21 service from Durham to Newcastle. Busses have usb chargers and tables upstairs. Very frequent as well.
This company is pathalogically incapable of operating a reliable service. I've been getting one bus, the 50 service to and from washington, for 3 weeks, in that time it has arrived on time exactly twice. 3 times the bus has simply not bothered to show up at all, while adding in app google updates to the service indicating the bus had already been... Short of showing up in a petrol driven yurt you'd really have a hard time deliberately designing a worse service. This is to say nothing of the almost comical level of extortion of the pricing Avoid them at all costs.
Busses are so badly treated and even the staff neglect them, saw this & made the day, hope someone out there can care for these tin cans than I! Just appalling looking along with a very few busses that have adapted tinted screens and quiet engines, shame on the 'Go Ahead company' than the so called "Go North East". Such a waste - 1 star service and rides lmao!
OK service. The lines I took were every half hour, so not brilliant in a built-up area. However, I got where I wanted to go, albeit not quickly.

I use go northeast's services everyday and I cannot fault it. The buses are very clean and most of the busses are new! Today my bus was late however the journey was free because of this. Customer services are very fast at responding
Got on 94 this morning bought what I thought was a purple day ticket turns out Gateshead metro is covered buy both blue and purple so when I went to get bus home after a ten hour shift on the team valley I had a blue zone ticket and he wouldn't let me on even though the ticket proved were i had purchased driver looked at me like a thief and said "people tried this on all the time" so had to walk home as I had no money and had left wallet at home. Not a happy chappy. Phoned head office to complain and got totally fobbed off.
Thanks to the girl and the driver Ian Strong on bus 69 to QE hospital at 7am as my wife lost her phone now has her phone back in a short space of time, Ian was really helpful in getting her phone back so quickly , brilliant well done .
Can't rely on bus service if you have an appointment get the bus two hours ahead as they take buses off all the time and give you no notice
They provide a poor service for the Chopwell area. Only one V9 bus an hour from Chopwell to Consett and that is the only bus which people from the Chopwell area can get. If the V9 bus breaks down, you've to wait another hour for the next bus. Now the number 11 service is being taken off and being replaced by the number 10a, which will go to Blaydon, but for people who live in Chopwell, it will only run once an hour. It seems like Go North East don't care about the Chopwell area. One bus an hour to Consett from Chopwell and one bus an hour from Chopwell to Blaydon is not good enough. They should run every 30 minutes.
