Gloucester Academy

I think this school is a great place to learn. The staff is always cheerful and so nice, they always greet you with a huge smile. Teachers are mostly very helpful and always willing to go through things that the students might struggle with. I believe that the EAL team deserves special acknowledgement as they deliver an enormous amount of help and support to the students from other countries. I was one of them, and without the ladies from the EAL team I would not be able to achieve so much. I cannot express in words how grateful I am. However, there is a reason why I decided to give the school only 4/5 stars. I believe I am not the only one who faced multiple problems with cash machines in school. On multiple occasions I experienced problems with them, as the machine took my money without changing the balance on my account. Every time I reported a problem, people responsible for these machines stated that the machine had not register my money, therefore they were unable to give them back. This resulted in me not only loosing money but ending up hungry without lunch for the rest of the day.

This school is great for students who are facing problems and need to talk with someone. Lessons are more active so you can learn physical fitness. The other lessons are fun because you learn more than one thing at a time Such as in History you would learn about William the Conqueror not just about what he did but who he was.

Gloucester Academy has a variety of extra-curricular activities such as netball, dance, art and music. I have been able to extend my learning in areas I am passionate about. I have enjoyed school and made long lasting friendships.

I enjoy the range of lessons at Gloucester Academy. There is a variety of after-school clubs such as football, and rugby in which I have made strong friendships.

the attitude of a specific teacher, donat willenz, is very appalling towards all students but especially the older students and speaks with disrespect, sarcasm, no consideration of students feelings, never apologises, acts extremely immaturely and speaks of private matters to students that don't need to know. In my opinion I don't understand how he became accepted as a teacher with such a disgusting and disgraceful manner towards all. Kind regards Mrs R Taylar P.S- overall fantastic school 1
