We had a nice stay, the staff is amazing and helpful, rooms were clean and spatious, but it needs more ventilation. Breakfast could be presented but earlier, overall fair bargain according to its price. Very good location, close to everything. You should give it a try!!
Where do I even start with this place? We booked through Hostelworld, as it’s advertised as one of the best hostels in Belfast. Let me tell you, if this is what they’re calling the “best,” you might want to rethink staying in any hostels in Belfast.nnFirst off, we caught five different taxis during our trip, and none of the drivers could find the place. That should’ve been a warning sign right there.nnThe rooms were a joke—basically like prison cells see the photo I’ve attached. You get one flimsy pillow, a battered cover, and you have to make your own bed. I tried to climb onto the top bunk, and it literally fell over. Luckily, I was in a room with people I knew, but imagine being cramped in there with three strangers. You’d definitely get to know them too well.nnI’ve stayed in hostels all over the world, and this one has to be one of the worst. The staff were somewhat helpful when asked questions, but didn’t go out of their way to make your stay easier. We were on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom or shower, get ready for a serious trek to get there.nnThe location was a redeeming feature—it’s just two streets over from all the bars and restaurants, right in the heart of the university quarter.nnIf you’re traveling solo on a tight budget and have no other options, maybe give it a go, but if you’re in a group, I’d definitely recommend looking into an Airbnb instead. Do yourself a favor—don’t stay here unless you’re looking for a place to make some “banter” and laugh at the chaos.
Incredible Stay!nnWe had an amazing time at this lovely place! It served as a perfect base for exploring the Paparoa Great Walk and Arthur’s Pass tracks. The entire region is stunning, with fantastic local breweries to enjoy.nnThe amenities were excellent, and the kitchen was well-equipped, making our stay very comfortable. Our rooms were lovely and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.nnOne of the highlights was definitely the hospitality from Patrick and Jacinda—they were the best hosts we encountered during our trip! They provided invaluable daily advice and went above and beyond to make our stay special.nnThank you both for everything you did for us! We can’t wait to return on our next trip to New Zealand!
Really lovely stay! We had a private room which was small but very comfy and clean. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. We slept great and didn’t notice any noise through the walls, though other reviews seem to mention that. WiFi was reliable and free breakfast included. Great place to stay and great price!
Stay here! I loved staying at this hostel, it’s is very cozy and the social atmosphere is great. It felt like the hostels you see in backpacking films like Eurotrip or the bollywood film, Queen. I came alone for New Year’s Eve in Belfast and found a great group of people to hang out with on the day of New Year’s Eve.nnLu, Tasha and Sophie were all so accommodating, I had an issue with my room and they allowed me to change rooms without hesitation. I was in the 8 bed female dorm and there was plenty of space and each of the beds on the bunkbed have a charging outlet and light.nnThere’s free breakfast in the morning from 8-10 cereal, milk, bread, jam, butter. They have other facilities and amenities like washing machine, dryer, hairdryer and straighteners to borrow from reception.nnSome of the reviews have mentioned cleanliness but when I went it was really clean, the sinks were wiped down, shower cubicles were clean and the floors were regularly mopped the 4 days I was there. The shower water was really hot and heated up really quickly. I think people need to be realistic about what they’re getting for a cheap budget friendly hostel, when you see them complaining take it with a pinch of salt. I will definitely be back in the summer !!
