Glenmore Campsite, Aviemore
"Glenmore campsite offers everything you could wish for from a camping holiday – refreshment, relaxation and the outdoor lifestyle. The site offers a unique combination of landscapes and mountainous views with complete forest immersion. And did we mention the direct access to the beaches of Loch Morlich, what more could you want?Enter the site and you’ll be immediately impressed with the surroundings. Dotted throughout the towering trees are open, well-kept sandy pitches. The rugged outdoor feel is still there though, with the option to go for pitches amongst the trees, and the highlands always in sight.A very short walk through the treeline gives access to the sandy beaches of Loch Morlich, one of this campsite’s many appeals."

Nicely set up campsite with friendly staff. Clean shower and toilet buildings and dog friendly. You have to be careful as the prices rise as it gets busier on the campsite. We understand that there is a weekend rate, but it cannot continue to increase as more people come to the campsite. We stayed here for 4 nights and started with £22.50, then £29,** and ended with £31,**. The camping is well worth staying to do traveling from if you want to do some walks in the area but keep an eye on the pricing. Restrooms: Very clean and lot of space. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly
Great place to stay if you like walking, hiking and water sports. The site has good shower, toilet and dishwashing facilities all in heated buildings. There's a pub two minutes walk from the site that serves breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The site is right next to Loch Morlich. Very picturesque with mountains all around. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Great site. Dogs are welcome.
Really good campsite in a wonderful location as next to Loch Morlich. Shower block is clean and showers hot. Great indoor dishwasher area as well. Walkable distance to the pine martin for food great breakfast or a pint
Big, mixed campsite on the shores of the lake, with the superb sandy beach right on the door step. Good sized pitches but a bit ragged at the edges - the service road needs attention and when it rains, large puddles and grass areas fill up quickly. There's no Internet but there's a café within a few yards which also stocks a myriad of camping essentials and milk. There's also a YMCA across the road which offers terrific hot food, which we'd recommend. It is a great starting point for all types of activity n pursuit. The staff are great too!
Love this place. Visited in our campervan mid-June and plan to return this year. Nice level pitches. 5 minute walk to the loch. We took our own kayak onto the loch. Nice clean shower/toilet block and friendly staff. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly
Glenmore campsite has been here for over 50 years. In that time, it has managed to stay unspoilt although the toilet blocks have been updated since then. This is a great place for everyone, young and old, dog lovers, walkers and bikers, skiers and climbers. Positioned at the foot of the Cairngorm mountains below the ski slopes, Glenmore campsite has so much to offer when exploring outdoors. With its position next to a beautiful loch and beach, the scenery is amazing no matter what the weather. The 2 toilet blocks on site are heated during the colder months and are daily cleaned. There are numerous walks from the site as well as the reindeer centre a short walk away. There is no shop on site but a very friendly cafe/bar and shop on the perimeter of the site called The Pine Marten.
Alan and Deb were so friendly and informative. Campsite was spotless. Pine bar staff friendly, great place to visit. Nomadic Scotland Ltd
This place is amazing! Ideally located with so much to do. Great facilities and even a tiny pub onsite. The views are stunning, even when the rain is falling. There are fabulous walking and cycling trails to suit all abilities. The views are absolutely stunning.
Great campsite. Friendly staff, good pitches, heated shower block with clean & hot showers, great location for outdoor activities and a pub nearby. Who could ask for more?
