I stayed in these flats for a few days over Summer as a visiting student. I assume the rooms were designed with contempt, or at least utter disregard, for those actually living here: shelves placed such that they block use of the desk; light switches distributed completely at random; uncomfortable mattresses; windows that don't open and face onto brick walls. I am lucky that I did not have to live here long-term in a unit that feels like it was assembled by a cheap AI with IKEA access.
Lived here for my first year of University. The buildings are well managed and any maintenance issues were usually fixed within three hours. The rooms are pretty rugged and there was a good amount of room for storage. I didn't like that we had no control over the heating in our rooms as it meant it was uncomfortably warm unless I opened my window.
Spent 4 years living here I loved it although neighbours quite loud
