Great little pub, Greatly positioned and warming atmosphere and feeling, great bar with welcoming staff.looks lovely inside and plenty of seating. Looks clean and presentable inside and outside. Plenty places to park outside also. If looking for a little place to stop for a drink when your out this way, we'll get to this place I'm sure you will enjoy as did I. Clean/warming/great staff/ say no more it's a beautiful pub
Local village pub. Food served in evenings & Sunday. Local draught beer with a selection of bottled beers & wines at reasonable prices. Bar or restaurant dining. Pool table & darts board in side bar.Service: 4/5
Great homely pub and restaurant had the beef Sunday dinner wife had the lamb dinner both enjoyed well worth the visit.
This used to be a regular place for us to visit as tye staff were always realy feiendly and the food was amazing! Unfortunatly we havent been for some time so decided to visit again, wow, what a dissapointment! Staff still friendly but the food was a disgrace! Hardly anything on the menue and only a mushroom ressotto for any vegitarians! The food we had, after quite a wait so we consoled ourselves by saying atleast it must be getting freshly cooked was absolutly awful. One of us had a "curry" popadom was like sponge &unedible, the curry itself was more like dirty dish water with absolutly no taste what so ever., the rice was the tiniest portion ever however the chutney out of a jar wasnt too bad. Our other meal was of the same VERY low standard. Couldnt finish our meals and didnt even finish our drinks as we were so disapointed in what was served after this place being previously one of the best places to eat in the area. What on earth has happened to this once amazing gem, makes all weatherspoons look like a michelin star establishments! R.I.P little gem, you were once an amazing establishment.
Lovely staff, lovely area, and nice food. Fish is a good size, although could do with more chips! Dog friendly too. Very quiet given it was a Bank Holiday weekend at tea time.Service: 5/5
When we first arrived we were told that it was unlikely we would be able to get a table as we hadn’t booked, I found this quite odd considering the pub was almost empty. Eventually we were guided to an empty room with no music like the rest of the pub and sat at a table. The young waitress was friendly and the food was decent and affordable but we wouldn’t return as for some reason we felt quite unwelcome and the atmosphere was very disappointing.
Very warm welcome on arrival. Meal was delicious, far to much but was able to take away what I did not manage to finish, will enjoy later this evening. Staff were amazing could not do enough for us, made sure everything was satisfactory. Shame we are going home on Friday. I would recommend this pub for its atmosphere, surroundings, staff and the food.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely meal on Saturday night. My husband had the Gammon and I had the Fillet Steak, both meals were excellent!Service: 5/5
This is a cosy Inn surrounded by nature. When we arrived we were not sure of how it will be like. But the inn was inviting with lot of wide parking space. The land lady was very helpful. After check-in she guided us to the rooms. The rooms were very clean and well kept. There was tea and hot water kettle. There was a common freeze which was packed with coffee, fruits and option of cereals in case u fill hungry at night. The land lady offered to make vegetarian breakfast for us which we will try tonight. The view from the inn is stunning. The pub has a pool table to play. The floors are a bit squeaky which can be annoying at night when people walk around. Update in the breakfast, it was well made and tasty English breakfast. The vegetation sausage was an absolute delight.
As a late booking and arrival I was very pleasantly surprised. The kitchen had been asked to stay on for a while so I could have something to eat. Staff and owners very friendly and pro active in attending to guests. Brilliant home made foods at great prices. I cannot thank Ceri, John and staff enough. I will certainly recommend this lovely, quirky little inn to family and friends. Well done all, keep up the good work.
