Such a beautiful beach. If you wanna have a lovely evening with some tins and watch the sunset then this is the place to do it. Check out the large amount of pictures I took hahaha. Also saw some seals chilling out. There’s toilets nearby where you can pay with your card! Great spot and absolutely beautiful.
Lovely beach. Toilets close by for a small fee. Campervan stopover spaces. Water clear and beach clean. The play park is lovely and the pedalos were great fun. Spent a lovely full day here. Plenty of places to eat and grab an ice cream and a small arcades for a bit of indoor fun.
Hidden gem. With the few numbers here during summer holidays I expect not many people know about this glorious place. It's so beautiful that I did not want to leave. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. There is a huge strange rock / island sticking it's nose out of the sea which I could not stop looking at. Highly recommend this place to come and chill. The sea is very shallow for a very long stretch so it feels very safe compared to most beaches when you have little ones.
It was a really crisp sunny spring day, the beach was quiet and the promenade was pretty empty, good for a walk on the beach and back along the promenade . It made a nice break from the working week.
Girvan beach is just amazing. Huge and sandy with lovely views over the islands of Ailsa Craig, Holy Isle and the Isle of Arran. The long promenade takes you past Stair Park and the large children's play area. Past the boating lake right up to Girvan harbour. When the tide is out, the beach seems to go on for ever - it's such a lovely place to walk, have picnics, build sandcastles! In the summer, the promenade plays host to Girvan's Music on the Prom every Sunday and in November the annual fireworks on the beach is just spectacular. It's a wonderful place well worth a visit!
Beautiful beach, limited places to stop to park but we'll worth a visit, look out to ailsa Craig, lovely bird life.
Lovely setting and nice clean beach. The beach is nice and level and does not steeply dip away. Safe for children. You'll need 30p to use the loo by the Harbour Master's Office. Also all the take away shops close between 2030 and 2100hrs. Get there early as they are likely to close early. Quite annoying.
Nice beach a bit windy today but lovely scenery around the place.
Really stunning beach, safe for the kids and clean! I cannot believe how lucky we were to have a sunny day and perfect beach! We even had a splash in the water! Results, there is a play park for the kids also and it wasn’t busy which was perfect!! Highly recommended
Lovely harbour, with nice promenade and a great boating pond that is actually open and hiring out boats. Great for families! Along the harbour a couple of cafes for carry out which was very disappointing. BUT the town....oh my what an absolute let down. Filthy streets, very run down buildings too. Unfathomable!
