Glad we were not put off by recent reviews. Booked a table for my sister’s 70 th birthday and was greeted by Hayley, who showed us to our table, it had a white tablecloth and streamer decorations as a centre piece. It looked really pretty and set the whole mood for our meal. Our meals were brought to the table and were delicious and the staff were very jolly and helpful. We had bought a birthday cake, which Hayley brought out, cut up and served with a bottle of prosecco, it rounded off the evening wonderfully. We all had a good time, which was made even better by the staff and their willingness to please. A big thank you to Hayley and co from Pat, Phil and Angela.

What a waste of a trip out.
Got there only to be told no meals being served. Not even children menu. Only carvery. 
No puddings. 
And only take in card payments. Due to have in no change.

Efficient staff, excellent food, good choice on the menu. Very good beers.  Recommend the Green King IPA. Always a good  choice.

Don't know what's happened to this place in recent years. It used to be a great place to go for cheap and cheerful pub food, but now it's awful. Came here with work colleagues for a meal, the service was slow and one person's steak had to be sent back twice because it wasn't cooked properly. The puddings took 45 minutes to arrive because they'd been forgotten about. Whilst there I also witnessed two other tables send back food. Won't be returning until it inevitably changes hands again.

Lovely meal even though side orders didn't arrive after asking twice where they were but we was a party of 12 on a Sunday lunch time we opted to order from menu and not have carvery so allowed for fact they were busy all 12 meals arrived together and were beautifully cooked defo a place to eat
